BORN Dınmūhammed Qanatūly Qūdaibergen 24 May 1994 (age 27) Aktobe, Aktobe Region, Kazakhstan ALMA MATER K. Zhubanov University in AktobeKazakh National University of Arts in Astana, Kazakhstan. Dimash Qudaibergen (Di-MOSH KOO-die-ber-Gen) is a phenomenon and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan.his PhD in musical composition. His 7.7 octave range (G0 growl-D8 whistle tone) and 2 semitones, meaning he has produced notes found in 7 different octaves, which is beyond comparison. Kudaibergen is well-recognized for his extremely wide and developed vocal range from C2 to C6 to F#6 and, finally, D8. This sequence shows his lowest note sung in vocal fry and chest voice, his highest note hit with his full modal voice, his highest note hit using falsetto, and his highest overall note, hit using the whistle register. Dimash is one of the best, if not the best, singers on the planet today. He started singing lessons at 5 years old and was later found to have perfect pitch. Dimash has been on stage since childhood: he sang and played the piano at various venues and competitions throughout his childhood. The young artist was not only a bright performer of famous hits, but also the author of his own songs. He had written seven songs by the age of 24. Kudaibergen sings in multiple musical genres. His main genre is classical crossover, but he also sings classical music (bel canto), rap, pop, rock, classic, Opera, traditional Kazakh folk, ballad and world music. He uses musical elements, and vocal styles and techniques of many other genres, including jazz, RnB, and musical theater. He is also known for his use of the whistle register and for singing in full head voice. He is University educated with degrees in classical and opera, as well as contemporary music, pop and jazz and completed a Broadway musical master class. On June 18th, 2020 he completed his masters specializing in composition and received his masters with honours having achieved the maximum score of 100%. He is currently working on his Doctorate in musical composition. In terms of full notes hit, Dimash has used growls and frys to hit spoken notes around and below C2, some of which may or may not be counted as part of his range. This includes an Eb2, an A1 and an F#1, various other frys around Eb2 and D2, a G#1 and a Bb1. Therefore, if counted, those notes make his range expand to 7 octaves and 10 semitones. He is humbly dismissive of this astounding fact and stresses that it is not the amount of range you have but in fact how you use it to move people. On top of all this, he embodies every song he sings and always gives 100% for his audience. He's a genius at mixing genres in a song, a style he himself refers to himself as neo-classic. He has won many prestigious awards. He speaks Kazakh and Russian, and is studying English and Mandarin which he says is a difficult language to learn but he's doing well with it. He has performed songs in 14 languages: his native Kazakh, Russian, English, Mandarin Chinese, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Serbian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Kyrgyz, Arabic and Japanese. On May 24th, 2021 Dimash celebrated his 27th birthday. At 22 he was invited as a wild card to participate in I Am a Singer, a Chinese competition show for professional singers. He ultimately placed second because at the time the rules of the show disallowed anyone who wasn't Chinese to take first place. The show catapulted him to relative stardom worldwide and he became a pop superstar in China. He is also famous in Russia for his neoclassical work with famous Russian/Ukrainian composer and arranger Igor Krutoy who came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash. Igor has written songs for Dimash and arranged previously composed music specifically for Dimash. He is often at the piano for many of Dimash's performances. Dimash has since introduced pop songs in Russia as well. He was on a solo world tour when the pandemic struck. There are several full concerts available to watch online. His concerts are usually around 2 ½ hours with an eclectic mix of vocal styles and genres. He was born into a musical family and both of his parents are famous singers and musicians in Kazakhstan, his mother being an operatic soprano. Although offered a position at the Astana Opera, he decided to carve out his career in contemporary music, mixing classical elements and traditional Kazakh music with pop music. He gained significant popularity in Kazakhstan and other post-Soviet countries in 2015 upon becoming the Grand Prix winner of Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus. He rose to fame in China with his participation as a "wildcard competitor" in Hunan TV's Singer 2017 finishing second overall. Although he works with producers, promoters and music labels in other countries his music is produced and distributed through his own company called Dimashali Creative Center. Dimash plays seven instruments: piano, drums, guitar, keyboard, dombra (the most popular Kazakh instrument, like a lute), marimba (like a xylophone), and bayan (which is like an accordion). Dimash is most widely known through his live performances and has released several albums, the first one going platinum in 37 seconds in China and triple platinum in less than an hour. It has been widely recognized that his high notes are not whistle tones but head voice. Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it is spectacular. He has many millions of fans worldwide which he has named his "Dears" He is soft spoken, polite, respectful, elegant and classy, also extremely humble, and possesses a wonderful sometimes self-deprecating sense of humor. He is often dismissive of his amazing talent and seldom goes without mentioning his love of country and its history.

Yes, Dimash is University trained in all types of music genres. Dimash currently has performed in 13 languages and documented at playing 7 instruments. He graduated in 2014 from Music Institute in Classical Music with Major in Vocal Opera (Bel Canto). Dimash continued his education with University studies in Contemporary Music and graduated in 2018 with a Major in Vocal Contemporary Pop & Jazz. In the Summer of 2020, Dimash graduated with a Master of Music Composition. Dimash is continuing doctorate (Phd) studies in the same University. Dimash speaks Kazakh, Russian, he has a working knowledge of English and he is trying to learn Chinese. Yes, Dimash is classically trained since the age of 5 when he was found to have perfect pitch. He has 2 degrees in Classical and Contemporary vocals and a masters in Composition for which he received a perfect score. He is in his 2nd year of studying for his Doctorate in Musicology. He was offered a place as a Tenor in the Astana Opera House in Kazakhstan when he was around 21, which he turned down as he wanted to go his own way. He’s currently 27 years old, 28 on May 24th. He sings a lot of songs in the Opera genre. This is a new composition of Ave Maria by the famous multi-billionaire Russian composer/music mogul Igor Krutoy which Dimash requested he write for him. Igor is accompanying him on the piano. He came out of retirement to compose and work with Dimash in 2018.

The beginning of the piece seems to be an imitation of the sounds from Outer Space that were recorded by NASA, establishing an otherworldly atmosphere. Dimash uses only vocalization to make this a prayer/meditation for all people, regardless of their spiritual orientation. Words often divide us, but music has the power to unite. The purity of Dimash's voice, the genius of Igor's composition, the choir, instrumentation, and staging all combine to transport the listener beyond this earthly existence into the heavenly worlds. Yes he is classically trained (bel canto/opera). He is also trained in jazz, blues, contemporary, folkloric, stage craft and performance, songwriting, arranging and composing. He has a BA and a Masters degree, and is now studying for his PhD in music. He can sing absolutely every style of music and can play multiple instruments. He is currently 27 years old (he turns 28 in May 2022) and started training at 5 years old because his grandmother recognised his talent and wanted to encourage it. Both his mother and father are famous singers in Kazakhstan so he has always been surrounded by singing and music since he was born (and even before!!). He is a gentle, funny, humble and respectful person and treats everyone around him with respect and kindness. Not only does he have superb vocal control, an over 7 octave range and many different vocal techniques to call upon, but he also has a deep connection to his music. There is something intangible in his voice that touches the listener, that connects the listener to him, to their own spirituality and to other human beings. He sings like a shaman. He can take you to another place, another plane of existence. It's magical.

Isn't Dimash astounding.. Have a listen to IKANIADE, it is so mesmerizing, awe-inspiring and beautiful, it with this are my 2 fav's at the moment.. BRAVO guys cool reaction, it give me chills too every time, he is unique and truly wonderful. I believe Dimash is 27 now, but he does look younger.. Best wishes from Wales.

Very deep training, he has - starting in music school at age 5, OMG. He has his master's degree & is working on his doctorate in music. He practices at least 3 hours daily. His whole life, since toddlerhood, is music. Not sure how old he was in this performance, but he's 27 or 28, now - so still rather young. ~♥~

He is a masters degree in music, performance and singing. He has been trained in opera and crossover. So that's were his mastery of singing comes from. He sang from the age of six. Plays 7 instruments and sings in different languages. He us studying for his doctorate.
