You two definitely need to check out a live performance of theirs. My personal favourites are Deeper Deeper at Yokohama Stadium and Mighty Long Fall at either Yokohama Stadium or on the 35xxxv tour, though you simply can't go wrong with any decent live recording of them. They're even better live than on their albums - their energy is off the charts AND they're very nearly always ON POINT. Though if you want to hear an example of how insane Taka's (vocals) pure singing voice is, check out his cover of Adele's Hello. Or there's the crazy long high note in Clock Strikes from the 35xxv tour.

Their name of One Ok Rock has a background story : Very often and accidentally, they got to record their music at 1 am (= one a clock), So they decided to make a name "One Ok Rock". Many Asian fans call them 'wan oku raku' , yeah it's obviously Japanese style of pronounciation 😅😂😂😁😁

ah yes flashbacks to the Rurouni Kenshin movie soundtrack, love them and their music, I've been reobsessed with Wherever you Are and the 18 yes version of We Are (super short summary of it was that everyone in that room besides the band were 18 and it was when Japan lowered the minimum age to vote to 18 so it was a big thing and empowering for many 18 year old teens :).

Love the mesmerized looks on your faces. 😁 ONE OK ROCK is just that good. You should check out their live performances though. The MVs are great but the live performances blow even those out of the water. Check out Mighty Long Fall or NO SCARED next. For NO SCARED, I recommend the performance at Yokohama Stadium. I guarantee the riff will have you banging your heads.

They are so good, They come to the US to do concerts, they have English music too... Taka the lead singer and Lee Hong ki from FT Island are friends and have written some music, Primavera from FT Island was written by both of them... For One Ok Rock Jaded is great and in English, I was King both are in English from their album from 2017 Ambitions

This is the theme song for the major live adaptation films for Ruorin Kenshin movies as well, for which the actor Takeru Satoh is a very good friend of Takahiro. Both of these dudes excel at what they do. Watch the movie. He did all stunts by himself with no wires and only trained for 3 months prior to filming.

Glad you guys enjoy one of my favorite bands.. I didn't discover them until about 2 years ago but they're one of the most talented bands in the world. I think they are the best live performing band in the world as well, which is where they really shine in my opinion because their songs always sound better live than on their albums, which is usually backwards for most rock bands (so try to check out their live versions of songs if u can).. If you are looking for high energy, more rock driven songs by them, I would first check out "Mighty Long Fall" or "Deeper Deeper" (both live versions at Yokohama) .. If you want more songs like 'heartache' that display Taka's vocal ability in a more mellow tone, check out "Good Goodbye" (live version) or "taking off" (studio jam version). And if you want some of their most popular reacted to songs, check out "clock strikes" (yokohoma live version) and "We Are" (18 fes live version - with subtitles) - this is also my favorite performance of theirs btw. I'll be looking out for more reactions! Enjoy!

Hey. I recommend you watch the video BE THE LIGHT, an emotional ballad dedicated to the victims of earthquake and tsunami that occurred March 2011 in Japan (there are eng.sub). Also react to their live perfomances, Taka (vocalist) has a great, strong voice. Their live perfomances practically don't differ from the recording. And there is a cover on which Taka sang song Adele - Hello, you can appreciate the power of his voice.
