Tbh to me it ties into liminal space which is a sort of aesthetic / photography / photo editing art(?) aimed at capturing a feeling through pics of specific spaces and all, for me personally it captures feelings like nostalgia, existential dread, some positive feeling, or all of that at once. The backrooms and it’s levels just feel like a worldbuilding around that sort of medium, like it’s those photos turned into an expansive limbo.

Warning Pedantic Content : as you can see the work transcends the author, kane pixels "has lost" the authorship of his work to become colective. Everyone can continue with is own vision of the backrooms. Backrooms are also an spectral encounter with our recent past and present, some kind of nostalgic retromania framed in our capitalist system in a post industrial moment. These empty familiar corridors are the loneliness materialized , the entities are not so hostile but the fact of loneliness makes them dangerous. the way in which the unknow are accessed is especially hygienic and "scientific" like us. Backrooms are diff from another creepypastas and many interpretations can be collected.

sorry but i need to continue, the" found footage" is a piece of a forgotten past brought to the present, our present is the "Cloud" present, more and more we dispense with devices. Photos, songs, films, videogames, conversations are now in a "cloud". the material object are replaced by the etheric digital. idk ,there are many topics to deal with, the authorship, appropriation, political-economical systems, our relation with the past, the material vs the digital, retromania, the relation with architecture, Hauntology.......

This area may be the closest thing to comfortable personally. Humans need to have some sort of plant life around them daily in order to not go insane, so compared to seeing yellow or dull office lights, vast cement walls and cold, patterned tiles, this level is sooo very alluring. The flowers and vegetation make this feel less scary than many of the other backroom levels. Maybe its just me, but plants/vegetation/flowers in a place always have a calming effect on me and make the place feel more comfortable. Having anything alive around you just makes a place feel less hostile, even if it is just plants. I think this is part of human nature that natural elements like flowers have a calming and relaxing effect on our soul.

one of my favorite details i noticed, when the camera pans down at 1:05, you see the tower descend into clouds at an unfathomable distance down. then when it pans up, there are simply more clouds. its pretty simple but something that a few people might not think about is that generally, when youre above clouds, when you look up youre either greeted by blue sky or a dark blue bordering on black because youre at the edge of the atmosphere. this little detail in the video really hammers home the fact that you are not on earth. and the fact that this series takes place in a collection of buildings only makes it that much more boggling.

I'm not well versed in Backrooms lore, but this environment felt fresh and original. I liked the increasing uneasiness too. At first it seems like a more peaceful and 'safe' place than the Poolrooms. The tall grass, the pretty flowers, the natural light, initially feel like a breath of fresh air. Then there's the realisation that the explorer is actually inside an infinitely high tower or skyscraper. Then the realisation that they're surrounded by many other massive structures like that. Then the tentative exploration continues, but the (justified) paranoia makes the explorer constantly look behind their back. The initial feelings of peacefulness and safety are fading. You can sense the explorer is thinking "I can't be alone here, right?" - and just like that, they spot an entity in another building. I love that it takes time to get to the final encounter. These places are supposed to be impossibly huge, and there can't be an entity just about around every corner. And I just love that last area I'll call 'the temple'. It both gets the abandoned place vibe and the 'this place can't possibly be here' vibe so well. I really enjoy your work. Keep on keeping on! Cheers, -Rick

Okay no joke but in 12:24 I just realized that the room that is shown was in a dream I had like a year ago.. I can explain to you the details that were a little different from this room but this is only room that is right about exact from what my dream looked like. Getting into the details, there were 3 pools in the center of the room on the first floor and the lighting in the room was way brighter. The people in my dream were me but I was back in my child body and I think 3 or 4 other little kids were running around the room filled with joy. We were all playing like it was the best day of our lives. I also remember that we all were running on the edge of the second floor, almost falling to the first floor but we didn’t care. At some point in my dream, we all jumped into the pool with donut floaties but the room then turned darker. As the room turned darker, our energy started to drain. Near the end of my dream I remember orange, yellow, and brown leaves falling out of no where and it started to get windy even though we were inside. There were no doors so basically we were just stuck in a big box. Then all the other children randomly disappeared and i was alone in the sad room. I got out of the pool and all the grass and flowers were gone so it was just a tiled floor. I was then standing in front of the pool, watching it getting filled up with leaves while my deflated donut floaty was in the middle of the pool. The last thing I remember is that I ran to one of the walls in the room and there was a mirror, so I watched myself cry until I woke up. A lot of my dreams are pretty poetic in a way but that was a dream I would never forget. A lot of times when I think about that dream, I always get a sad feeling because of it. I think that was a sad but beautiful dream to remind me of my childhood.

I wish there were more to this exploration. I had dreams where I was stuck in place like this for years. Almost nightly. Plants, flowers and grass all over the floors, and I’m in a skyscraper and no one is around. We’re above the clouds and I remember it being sorta warm from the sun but with a cool breeze. I remember feeling slight altitude lethargy, like being in a plane or going to the mountains from sea level. I saw the same halls, outdoor walkways, and office type space. I also was in that same exact “break room” area that they pass by in the other video, with the window and chair. I searched and searched for a way down and I just never really found a way down, mostly only upward pathways. After ages of having this dream I remember being determined to find a way out of this and stop having the dreams. Well, I found a hallway that eventually lead out of the garden tower, but it wasn’t on the ground level of this building. It was just a hallway that ultimately lead to an endless apartment complex with no windows, and I’d end up having the dream morphed into the apartments for another maybe year or so. Was I there in the garden rooms?? I mean honestly how can anyone believe me when there’s these popular videos now? Anyone can say “lol I wuz dere!!”. The video isn’t identical but it’s damn close I’ll tell you that.

Amazing video, and adding to the messages on it: The footage starts at exactly 3:33, and in the description it mentions that strangely the time never changed. Now some of you may know of angel numbers, which are numbers with an spiritual meaning (I personally don't believe in them but they are interesting nonetheless), in this case our number will be 333, and its meaning is: that your guardian angel is constantly protecting you and guiding you to an important decision. Being an angel number on itself fits well with the theme of surreal tranquility of this level. As for "protecting and guiding" I think would symbolize the writing on the walls, because even if they would seem like they disturb the peace, they actually warn you about the entity and about the dangers of APRF. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk

As someone with severe grass allergies, this room is my biggest fear. Edit: because so many are asking, my grass allergy is severe enough that touching grass causing pain to the point of contact and usually causes hives in the general area. Sneezing is also a big part of it, as I can barely breathe through my nose most times (usually through only one nostril). Sneezing also causes headaches. There is medicine, however I have to switch up which ones I take as my body grows immune. I still function though, and as long as there is no skin to grass contact I'm usually good!

There exists a world that you can only reach between 3:30 and 3:33 AM. Before you travel, I must advise you of a few rules; Rule #1: No matter how lovely they are, do not pick the flowers. If you do, you'll never get rid of them. Rule #2: If you see a tall man with no face, just keep walking. Whatever you do, don't stop to look at him. Rule #3: If someone offers you tea, politely decline and keep walking. If they follow you, run. Anything is better than drinking the tea. And rule #4, the most important of them all: Wear a watch at all times. Time is weird there and if you don't have a clock on you, time will warp into nothingness and you won't know when to leave. That's all, safe travels.

There’s multiple things about this video that defines it from other backrooms vids. First off it’s a lot more beautiful yet still unsettling, the setting defies our sense of logic / reasoning with the plants on the ground on the inside of these buildings, + how expansive it is but in a different way regarding the cloud cover / unknown sense of altitude and such (usually when fluffy clouds are “under” you like that, youre pretty high up.) It almost feels like false heaven is the best way to put it, especially regarding the loneliness and the sense of danger that still remains with the entities and all. usually i don’t leave comments on stuff like this but I love how different it is, and i’d love for the backrooms to have more variation like this.. A way to achieve this variation would be to take offputting photos relating to the weirdcore/liminal aesthetic and create some sort of limbo out of it, which when you think about it is how the backrooms was created after all

1:28 is the closest visual I can find that looks like a dream I've had, except the corridors were straight ahead more of a house corridor. I just remember how it looked peaceful like this (the windows also on the left), but as the dream progressed, I felt more and more scared like something ominous would happen. I also remember it got dimmer the further I went, and there was a "haunted" sound that I can't explain. I woke up feeling on edge, but ever since I had this dream I've always wanted to return! Lol.

Originally grass corridor is looped circle ⭕ shaped out of solid rock, it's floating in a dimension of endless sky and clouds win no beginning or end, a peaceful place where time has no effect, human needs are absent, it is a lost part of a paradise, small fragment. Anyone present there experiences zen, happiness, appreciation, harmony, no thoughts. How do I know this ? I am the original author of the flower corridor artwork (edited the famous corridor image), I experienced this in my lucid state of meditation, when a man is half asleep and in a deep trans exploring dimensions. Ps sorry for my bad English.

This was something new! Which is always a treat since most videos only seem to take place in either Level 0 or pool rooms now. This was everything other backroom videos lack, a vastly open world thats occupied by unique infinitely stacked floors, different forms of flora, and the absence of the annoying light fixtures buzzing. The paranoia exhibited by the camera man because of a corner, sound, or door they came across was visible by your cameras perspective, and really felt like an accurate response and behavior. Good freaking job man, this was *french kiss* perfecto

The environments evoke a sense of fear while being consistently beautiful, surreal, and lonely. The jumpscares and monster reveals are conserved so that terror builds up slowly, all the way to the end. The level design perfectly balances realism, the supernatural, and the unnatural. This is the best Backrooms footage creator.

this is really amazing. i’m about 1/3 of the way in, and so far there’s been nothing necessarily scary, but i’m still so uncomfortable and on edge by the atmosphere here. the character checking over his shoulder repeatedly, getting slowly more paranoid as the lights grow dimmer and dimmer, the peaceful yet isolating environment that has undergone a massive transformation from human to.. something else. this is what makes the backrooms so interesting to me. thank you.

I feel like what makes this a bit creepier I'm a sense is the fact that the halls are curved, leaving much less room for you to see an entity behind you. If you've just got long straight hallways it's much easier to see a creature and have enough space between you and them for you to have a headstart. If an entity catches you around one of these corners, you're already very close.
