As for his story....He played linebacker at University of North Texas, but had an injury in his senior year. Started a non-profit (Team Gini) to help kids learn to live a purpose driven life. He wanted Eric Thomas the hip hop preacher to come speak to the kids. Eric saw Tobe just messing around freestylin and what not, and suggested he consider taking the craft seriously......and here we are.

Y'all should react to a band called Fleshgod Apocalypse. It's an Italian symphonic Death metal band, but they have a pianist and composer as a permanent band member and their songs are actually written such that they mirror classical music. In fact, their latest album (afaik) King has the entire second half of the album as a full classical symphony orchestra composition of the first half. If you want song recs, I recommend 'the Violation', 'in Aeturnum', and 'The Fool'

Rewatching this video & I just noticed how Tobe brings the weirdest analogy’s outta George. On Jockin it was the random Candy/medicine analogy. In this one it’s the he’s well done/baked analogy😂 It just shows how the depth of Tobe lyrics be having George thinking too hard so he overcomplicates the analogy.
