This album is the peak in terms of technical musicianship combined with cohesive songwriting. Doesn’t mean there are not more technical bands or albums, or albums with better songwriting, but this is the best of both worlds. An album where Thrash guys and Prog guys can shake hands, while guys coming from the pop perspective (much alike you guys) can still appreciate the work without going overboard on the technicality. In my opinion, this album is without a doubt Top 5 metal albums of all time.

The album sounds like shit and the songs are moronic. Dave was zonked out of his mind writing this stuff. There are limits to stupidity and Mustaine crossed them this time too far. This is not technical nor ambitious: this is pretentious wankery. And worst of all: IT IS BORING, despite being played at enormous speed and having Friedman as a lead guitarist

I bought rust in peace when I was a teen in 95 it was my second megadeth album. It didn't leave my discman for a month. Still a complete masterpieces album I have to play start to finish.

I imagine this song like Mustaine challenging Menza: Can you follow me on this crazy shit? And Menza replying: Follow you? I will show you who is the real driving force in this band now. Lol.

Dave is the one doing the riffs and singing at the same time, Marty was doing the solo. Dave is a skilled.

Megadeth and Marty Friedman slaps so hard. I was lucky to see them both on stage last summer at Wacken Open Air. Can't describe how epic that moment was, to see my favorite band reunite with my favorite guitarist on stage!

Marty was over half of solos and you can tell when it's Marty as it will have a certain exotic sound to it. I was in 8th grade when this came out and this album still holds up. Try playing this album in the gym.

Balls to the wall one of the best Megadeth songs ever made, on arguably their best album. This video was a must after you guys had a long hiatus in reviewing songs from Rust in Peace. Thanks for sharing! Polaris is another classic too.

Everything before the vocals came in on this was great. It was still ok with the vocals. I'll call that a win. Nice reaction.

Not sure if I heard or read this in an interview with Dave or Marty, but one of the two said 'Take No Prisoners' was the hardest Megadeth song due to the timing. It is my personal favorite off the album, "Rust in Peace". The lyrics have meaning too, not just a bunch of words thrown on a page.
