Lots of these sitting around… 2023 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition and Limited

In this video I showcase two brand new 2023 Toyota Tundras. One is a 1794 Edition and the other is a Limited with the TRD Off Road package. I’m seeing a lot of new Tundras for sale still… collecting dust on lots. I personally like the brown 1794 Edition Tundra, looks sleek too me. Would I take it over a TRD Pro? Probably not. I’d probably take it over the Capstone trim though.
What are your thoughts? Would you buy this 2023 Tundra 1794 Edition or Limited? Or are you waiting for the 2024 Tundra to hit the scene? Perhaps the new 2024 Tacoma instead?

Great video but I’m keeping my 2019 1794 till the wheels fall off!…for what new trucks cost now a days, i think i got a steal at 47K new and 0% for 5 years. 🥰

I just don’t know why they still have visibly dotted led DRLs. No other manufacturers new refreshed vehicles have visible leds in the DRL it just looks cheap. Also the whole silver piece above the DRL should have been the DRL which is what they made it look like before it was released. And lastly the chrome surround on the new grille is wayyyyyyy too much. Overall the truck has grown on me but I would only have it in black on black to tone down the oversized grille and tone down the weird angles of the inter grated rear bumper.

Limited with TRD Off-road is an underrated value. Probably my favorite combo from that standpoint. After I rip off all the chrome of course… 😅

I think it depends on the local market. Dealer here cant keep a Tundra more than a few days.

When Toyota puts an incentivized rate. Tundras will sell quickly. Trying to sell them at 5-6% is tough.

To me the limited with the regular v6 is a way better option imo , 1794 is to fancy for me and cost lots more $$. Waiting to see what’s next brother 👀

Hey Untamed, i know you dislike the newer powertrains from Toyota, but have you considered a TTV6 non hybrid? Many reviewers and owners especially say the normal Iforce is much more worth it.

@@JIPlatium I can’t really argue with you since you are an owner. I’ve driven both once, and found the non hybrid a bit better. In some cases reviewers also found that to be true. But to each of their own.

I have a Toyota tundra platinum 2023 I chg the oil at 4,800 miles found a small amount debris. I I i. Did check it to know if it was metal or aluminum shavings. I’ve at that time there was no recall or I would’ve checked. It been a mechanic for 50 years running with new vehicles. it might’ve been a tiny bit more than I found in my years of experience with new vehicles changing oil. I also cut open the oil filter and found very few particles in there. Also, I changed the oil again at 6000 miles found no aluminum or metal in oil or filter, going to have the dealer change it at 10,000 and I’ll change it at 15 so it’ll get changed every 5000 miles. 10,000 is too long especially when you’re breaking in a brand new motor to leave those shavings in there for 10,000 miles I can’t believe Toyota would do that that’s where they screwed up should’ve changed at 500 miles and then at 1200 and then at 2500 and then every 5000 miles after that, that’s what I’ve done in the past but seeing what the dealer recommended every 10,000 miles I didn’t stick to my gut feeling anyway my truck I love it so much power the ride is amazing no wind noise no cracking I also bought the 10 year warranty or the hundred thousand mile warranty and I’m so glad I did. The only thing is I just don’t have no confidence in the truck. I’m afraid that I don’t think debris is the issue with these engines. I think it’s a flaw in the motor. I hope I’m wrong, but it kind of scares me to tow a trailer of my boat with it cause if the motor blows up while I’m towing place to pull over walking pins and needles and I don’t like being in that position because I spent a lot of money on this truck and I don’t have no confidence in it and it shouldn’t be like that with a new vehicle. Toyota needs to do better

My local dealer has “10k” off but have a 3500 package on them, so it’s 6500 off msrp. They are very over priced, their lot is overflowing with these.

The new tundras are just ugly af. Every time i see one on the road it gets uglier and uglier. However a dude at my gym has a magnetic gray trd offroad lifted with 35’s that looks sick. So i guess they just need a decent lift and larger tires. 14-21 still reigns supreme for me anyway
