Libby's Famous Pumpkin Pie www.allrecipes.com/recipe/227...
Cranberry Nut Pie camphomeschool.blogspot.com/2...
Venison Chili camphomeschool.blogspot.com/2...
Quick & Easy Hamburger Hotdish
1 pound ground meat (I used about 1.5 pounds)
1\4 tsp. salt
1 bag frozen shredded hashbrown potatoes
1 medium onion
1 10.75 oz. can cream of mush soup
1 c. sour cream
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
~6 oz. French fried onions
Brown meat with salt and onion. Drain if necessary. In large bowl combine everything except french fried onions. Spread into greased 9x13 baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until bubbly. Top with french fried onions and bake 10-15 minutes longer or until crispy, but not burnt! 8 healthy sized servings.
*I added a lot more seasoning to the mix. Salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder - all to taste. We all liked this very much...even Maria.
Pumpkin Crunch Cake
15 oz. can pumpkin puree
12 oz. can evaporated milk
1 tsp. ginger
1\2 tsp. cloves
1\2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1\2 c. sugar
1\2 c. brown sugar, packed
3 large eggs
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 c. chopped pecans
3\4 c. unsalted butter, melted
Mix first 9 ingredients very well and pour into greased and floured 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle on dry cake mix. Sprinkle on chopped pecans. Pour melted butter over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Serve warm or cold with whipped topping or ice cream. So good!!

Hi friends! I'm Jennifer, a forty-something wife and mother of 7 children ages 8 - 24. We are Catholic. We homeschool. We cook from scratch. We farm cranberries. We drink coffee. We advocate for Down syndrome awareness. We are loud. We are chaotic.
Here I'll share vlogs about all these things, what I'm doing that works and what I've tried but didn't work. I hope to encourage you in your journey through motherhood, homeschooling, learning to cook, and growing in your faith through it all.

You are so lucky to have your family and grand babies altogether living a country life! We just sold our California home and are moving within a mile of our granddaughters in Conroe, TX. We are so excited!! The kids moved at the end of June 2021 and it took us 4 months, (and my 91 year old mom's death 7/19/21) to make us think......why are we staying in California?? So we bought a home being built in the same neighborhood as our daughter. We can't wait to get there hopefully by the end of January 2022!

Just passing a tidbit of info...when my dutch oven gets stained on the bottom, I put some water in it, enough to cover the stain, then about 1/3 cup bleach. Let it sit overnight...empty out and wash really well with soap and water. Makes it look brand new. I like 'em when they shine! Beautiful dough...I can almost feel how wonderful it is.

Oh absolutely Loved watching the 3 days. and the recipes. Hint' When you get bread, buns or rolls. Put a paper towel in the bag close. Freeze. When ready thaw leave paper towel in bag till all eaten. Will absorb the moisture and keep breads moist but won't grow mold. Lady at the day old bread store was told this. it works great. I use to buy the 30 pillow pack of hamb. buns. sm family so had to repackage. No problems with that or our bread.

You are generous with instructions, thank you! I use a food processor for pie crust but need to try your way. Love hearing kids in the background...brings back mama days. Hard finding fresh cranberries today...time to get bags in the freezer again when I can find them! I don't have the 'pie edge gene', the best I can do is a plain zig-zag edge, haha. Sure wish I could come to your house and be your kitchen assistant. Saw a 3-point buck today while running errands browsing at a house with an untended apple tree. I'm glad you put the Libby's pie recipe in your cookbook, my family thinks that is the best pumpkin pie recipe too. I have the hardest time finding your volume 1 cookbook in my house! It bounces between the kitchen, living room and sewing room depending on where I am wanting to dig in with a cup of coffee or a cup of decaf tea.

And then we got to cousins. Oh my, I understand where she is coming from. And just an FYI all my real aunt's and uncle's on my mother's side were really great Aunts/Uncles. Jennifer could you please share your bread recipe? I just got a new bread machine I need to start collecting some recipes. I am aware that you cook it in the oven that's what I will do as well. Aiso at the end of the vlog there is a spiral cold pasta dish that looked delicious could you tell us what that one is and if you have a recipe for it. Thank you. Laurie ❤️❤️😊🇨🇦

You have some 'good eaters' at your house. I'm sure its the delicious and varied foods. I've always wondered, does Joe always eat what's on his plate? (I mean, he is a growing young man so if he does, I'm impressed!!)

I live in Wisconsin too and it's a very debated topic if noodles belong in chili but it's very popular here (I'm on the pro-noodle side!)

We used to go to a friends house for New Years and they served chili over spaghetti noodles. They called it Cincinnati chili.

Oh my goodness, Joe! That’s my favorite line from Hercules, too. “Hercules… You mean Hunkules!” Now I’m going to have to rewatch that. ;)
