Living up in Northern Norway and rolling all year around, I wear Brooks tuilik during winther/spring, and my Comfort Paddling tuilik during summer/autumn. I prefer the CP rather than my Reed. Unfortunately CP is difficult to find nowadays. I don’t know if they are out of business.

I have the MPS for the exact purpose that you use it for. Alas no tuiliq yet but I’ll get there, in the meantime I wear it under a paddle jacket with latex wrist seals which keep my arms much drier than the mps does. I am interested in the comfort paddling tuiliq over the others.

I will see if I can get hold of one from Comfort paddling.

I spray my ReedChill cheater with 100 percent silicon, and it seems to readily absorb the silicone, keeping those micro-cracks from happening, and water beads up and slides off the material. Just my 2 cents. great video!

I have Brooks. Underneath I wear a kokatat Hydrus drypants (only boxershorts underneath), and a thin wool or synthetic t-shirt. I think I would die from the heat if i wore as much clothing underneath as you do 😅😅😅 Usually only wear more clothing underneath when temperatures are below freezing, -0C and colder.

Ha ha. I do make a few rolls every time I'm out so I need on base layer on. If its really cold, or surfing when its below 10°C, I wear the dry suit under.

Hi and thanks for helpfull videos. Did you ever try REED tuilik paddlesuit? Do you think it can work good? Or it better to have drysuit and tuilik above? Thank you.

I have 3 or 4 Reed tuiliqs and two Brooks. The Brooks ones a warmer so I use the Reed tuiliqs when the water temperature is above 15C. Under that I use the Brooks tuiliqs and when it's ice in the water I have a very thin (Ursuit MPS) dry suit under. For me the Reed tuiliq last 3 or 4 seasons and I guess for the Brooks ones it's many. many years more. But then I use a tuiliq 70-90 days a year, so I do wear them out.

Thank you very much! So it's is not good idea to use 2 in 1 - dry suit and tuilik....
@JonasAlexandersonАй бұрын
@@109cow not if you have a normal dry suit. And if you don't use a dry suit under the tuiliq when it's cold, your roll should be 100%.

I have both the Brooks and Reed (with insulation) tuiliq. Prefer the looser fit to the Brooks.

Hei! Nettopp kjøpt en Brooks tuilik og bruker den på en Rebel ilaga. Den lekker litt rundt cocpit. Skal den være veldig stram rundt cocpit?
@JonasAlexandersonАй бұрын
Jag har en Brooks tuiiq och en Ilage, det läcker aldrig. Det bör sitta ganska så stramt på.

Hi i been offered a second hand Brooks tuilik it size XL, im 1.75mts tall and weight about 88 kilos, in your experience wil it fit me good? I cant test it since is in other region of my country. Thank you in advance for any tip.

I'm not at home (working as a kayak guide in Antarctica atm) so I can't check the size I have. But I think I got a L and it's ok for me. I'm 1.70cm and just under 90kg. I think you probably will find a XL a bit too large but I also think it can work.
