I got deja vu looking at those rear bucket seats in the Elite. My Dad had a white one in 1977, and I remember sitting in the back. I'd completely forgotten it till then. He'd occasionally pick me up from school with Abba blasting out the 8 track. Happy days

Great video as always Gary, I think you made the right decision, although I’d have been wrestling with the same issue. Oh Gary, you gave me the best laugh in a long time when you did yourself a quick hair cut. Probably because I've done exactly the same thing in the past, much to the annoyance of my nearest and dearest. You are so fortunate to have specialists near you like trimmers and chromers. In Scotland we don't have anyone who is willing to do these jobs. I even have difficulty finding a decent coach builder they're only interested in quick turn arounds and how much money they can get out of you. Good luck with the Lotus. Hi Gary, I'm sure the Lotus would have looked great with the leather, but I'm inclined to agree on keeping it original. I think it's going to look superb when it's all finished! I'm a fan of cloth seats and one of the cars I miss the most is my father's Saab 9000 Turbo which he specified with velour seats back in late 1992. The good old days! Haircut scene was hilarious!
