It's your body and you know something isn't right, you need to go back to your GP and ask to be referred for a second opinion. I am currently training to be a mental health nurse, and we get taught general nursing things but the general nurses don't get any MH training, which is completely stupid and needs to be addressed! Sending you lots of love, I hope get the answers you need to get your life back xx

Doesnt it just?! Honestly the poor nurse that was with me was having a panic attack helping me with MY panic attack! I had to talk her down while I was screaming!!! How is that okay? Lou my heart breaks for you. I'm now into my 14month of excruciating pain on my left side. Finally met my gynaecologist who joked to my husband I was making the pain up so my husband would do housework. I told her how serious the pain was she told me to keep a pain diary and come back In 6months It's absolutely shocking what is going on with the NHS and the attitude of some of the staff is disgusting . I really hope you get some help soon 💜

There is no need to apologise and it is so upsetting and horrifying that you have gone through a horrific experience at the hospital and the care system is a vile thing but as you mentioned, the nurses who look after the patients are a godsend to someone like yourself. Oh bless you. I really do feel you. I was in pain for a year and a half. You have to keep going back to doctors. I’ve given birth twice and had frozen shoulder but the pain was out of this world. I would lay in bed shaking in pain. We had to cancel so many plans with family, kids and friends. I was in a dark place and couldn’t see myself living this way forever. Finally a doctor listen and in the end had an operation. I’m so thankful. Sound like you have a good support network but please remember it will not be like this forever. Unfortunately we have to keep fighting for everything nowadays and I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Sending best wishes. Xxx

Oh my gosh I am so sorry you had to go through that! Its soul destroying isn't it? Your life's on hold and plans you make just don't happen! My frustration is that if they listen in the first place I wouldn't have to go back again and again to keep wasting both of our times when someone else could use that appointment time! Anger cant even begin to describe what I felt in that hell hole, If I was seen too earlier the bed I was in could have been used for someone else! I just don't get our system! I'm going to keep bothering them until they listen! xxx

Similar to my story with endometriosis. Absolutely agonising pain where I'm screaming with blood pouring out of me, bunged up, bloating (having to buy trousers 2 sizes up because of how bad I bloat) pure exhaustion and needing to use wheechair and unable to feel my legs/ keep balance. Had years of scans with nothing, only one cyst on mg ovary caught. Took me getting angry to get a diagnostic operation. I struggle with eating still daily and appetite due to bloating and nausea. Anya that is horrendous! I am so so sorry girl :( You don't deserve that at all! This is a joke! Why cant they just do something and take our word for it? I literally feel like i'm being gutted every time I walk or twist my body the wrong way...in what world is that NORMAL?! I just feel like this is a never ending battle! I am in a similar situation 33 backwards and forwards for scans and hospital appointments where I’m just been told to take ibuprofen and to go back if pain Carries on have been told I have Endometriosis with no evidence backwards and fowards made to feel like I shouldn’t be there and just to get on with it pain is all through month my mental health isn’t the best suffer with anxiety etc makes you feel like your losing the plot ! Currently undergoing more scans etc gp says further investigation is needed but hospital just tell me the same over and over 😳 I really hope you get this sorted your so lovely sending lots of love I know how hard it can be to function! Its an absolute joke Harriet! Your literally wasting your life going back and forth!!! No wonder our NHS is so broken! When they cant just get on with it, do what needs to be done and then help the next person! Why keep people hanging on?! Oh my gosh it makes me so so angry for us! Female anatomy seems to be a mystical concept to the medical community because this is so common! Ugh! Hi Lou, Sorry you're going through this. I would suggest you go to your GP, explain what's happened at the hospital and then ask for a referral to the gynaecologist. I wish you all the best, get well soon.
