I used to prepare orders for customers as one of my student jobs, and I can't help but advise to get a tape gun dispenser as it will make your work a lot easier and faster if you decide to expand your activity 😊

Hi Lou. I'm excited to see you added some non-consumable products. You will reach a broader consumer base. I'm also happy you found a vendor. If it reduced your base costs, maybe you can sell some snack packs in a lower price range and get even more customers. I don't know if you know that here in the USA we are able to purchase the items you sell. People WILL likely pay a bit more for the convenience, and to support you.... especially if the pricing is competitive. I know shipping is a factor too. I looked at your website. Is all shipping $15.00, or did I read it wrong? I know someone that might be interested in ordering so I want to let them know. I really do love the cups/glasses. I know someone here that has a business customizing glasses, mugs, thermos cups with individual designs, names, sayings.... whatever the customer wants. He has a special machine and supplies that don't cost very much. He does a nice little business. Im hoping your glasses do well. Keep persevering. Then, when you look back each year you will be able to feel good about your efforts. Its so important to be able to look back and feel satisfed about how you worked toward your goals. if you give me permission, I will share with you one recipe from European cuisine. potato pancakes. a very popular dish in Germany and Belarus :) to prepare the dough for potato pancakes, you will need several peeled raw potatoes. raw peeled potatoes should be grated on a fine grater into a mush. (if the grated potato porridge has a lot of juice, you can put it on a fine sieve and let the liquid drain a little.) take one onion, and grate it on a grater into a mush in the same way. mix the onion porridge and the grated raw potato porridge into one mass. add one spoon of potato starch and stir. add spices: ground black pepper and ground common caraway. add salt. mix everything. fry the pancakes in a large amount of vegetable oil or lard. prepare a sauce to serve with the potato pancakes: mix high-fat sour cream with crushed garlic cloves and chopped dill. the pancakes can be served simply on a plate, or served on a slice of black rye bread as a sandwich. if desired, you can add a little minced meat of any kind or mushrooms to the potato pancake dough.

Morning Lucy, I live in Canada and wanted to share with you that many stores here are starting to carry more and more Asian snack products. Competition may soon overtake you just by the nature of them being so large and have more buying power. My daughter already buys many of the snacks you have available from a large Asian store near us. Perhaps looking into smaller rural locations will be very beneficial for your business. More marketing about favourites that sell can be done on your channel? 😊

Yes, even in my small city in the Niagara Region 🇨🇦 we have tons of Asian snacks available. One store I go to has separate aisles for Japan, China, Korea and the Philippines.

We also have two Asian markets here, and several things she shows are available locally here. So why pay shipping from Japan when I can buy the snacks here locally, right? I wish her success, but maybe she needs to think "outside the box" so-to-speak.

Maybe she needs to find specialty and hard to find items that people CAN'T get so easily elsewhere. But that might also make them more expensive as well. It is a conundrum, that is for sure. Although there are plenty of people who might be interested in Japanese snacks that would NOT think to go to an Asian store to get them. And plenty of people who live in small towns and villages where there are no Asian stores.

Hi Lou, I really applaud you for your determination and entrepreneurship! Unfortunately, I have gastroparesis, so I can't eat and drink. So, buying food from your shop isn't possible. But have you ever considered selling those white lucky cats? Like the one that's standing next to your computer. I would love to have those, but unfortunately, I can only buy them with that amulet (or whatever it is) in their paws, and I want them without that. Just the cat with his paw in the air.
