This dude is honestly helped me more with my car just making videos than any mechanic ever has with my civic. Plus I love how bro isn’t scared to admit when his dad helps him with something or tells him to say something without pulling that “I did it all by myself” bs that 95% of these other KZbin mechanics pull

I was 12 years old when my dad began teaching me about cars. Yes he was ASE certified and barely knew english. I had an immigrant father. You're doing great, keep going. Eventually you will be like me, i'm almost 40. I hear a sound and I instantly know where to look, what to check, how to fix. Simply by a sound. Being able to fix a car with no check engine light, is the core of what being a mechanic is. It's a talent that isn't gained by going to school for automotive. More importantly, you fix it right the first time, with hearing a sound. Over time I have learned how to use a scanner, reading the graphs and identifying the problem, but thats the stuff they teach in school. I gained it, simply through experience.

Thanks for the video. I have a 2005 Ford Mustang that the engine noise in the cab is so loud that I have to wear earplugs. I searched all over youtube and they said it is usually an exhaust leak under the cab. I pressurized the exhaust pipe with the exhaust from a shop vac and spraying windex on all the joints. I had no exhaust leaks on my car. I will go ahead and replace my motor mounts. It never occured to me that the engine rumbling would transfer from the engine into the chassis and into the cab. You guys are pretty smart!

Thank you! My 2010 Honda Civic just started to make this rumbling noise. I took it to a mechanic and they just blamed it on the age of the car. Smh! I believe this is the issue.

You guys are great. Having done this to two civics in our household, I can say it will take more than an hour for the average DIYer. Also make sure you have heavy duty sockets (half inch drive), a breaker bar, and a way to jack up and support the engine from underneath. I used aftermarket parts from Rock Auto and so far they have been holding up fine. I like your video a lot. Going to check out your others.

On these models (8th gen) watch out for cracked engine blocks. It effected 2006-2008 and some early 2009 civics. If it happens now you are in trouble. The warranty has currently expired and the fix is a new engine block. You cannot fix a cracked block.

Weird, I checked the torque mount and the hydraulic mount, there is no play, no cracks or leakage, but the gap, this is maybe 5 mm. I can hear some vibration on idle, the engine is suoersmooth untill 3000 and 3500 rpm I can hear anoying humming. I thought is was the muffler, but now I am question if it could the mount, dealers though are rip off in y country with OEM parts.

It shouldn't affect much but its really irritating when you do drive it. Eventually you should replace it because its still a piece that holds your motor in place
@vladrod96244 жыл бұрын
Yes it can damage things around the engine and other parts in time. Because of this vibration, parts can start to loosen up or in time the mount itself could be damaged badly to make the engine shift a certain way and then damage the transmission itself.
