Is it just me, or does he play it so perfectly that I practically lose my mind every time I watch this...I’ve been playing this piece for 3 months and it’s still nowhere as good as this. out of all the recordings of this that i listened to, this is by far the best version ive heard. he makes a couple of mistakes, but he does manage to keep a consistant speed despite how demanding the piece is, and he actually follows the composers instructions and plays the dynamics, AND THE SOUND IS SO CLEAR. the execution is literally perfect

Don't practise it really fast. Try it as slow as you have to, in order to not make any mistakes. Once you have mastered it slower, try quicker and so on. Beautiful pieces like this take time. That doesn't mean you should give up.

While I am pleased and flattered this video has been viewed by over 200,000, I will point out that this 17th Century harpsichord piece is not representative of the type of music I am most comfortable with. My speciality is 19th Century virtuoso music, mostly Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, etc. This gives a better example of my playing: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3qwdHaLhd2FrJY Enjoy, and thank you!
