Welcome back 😊 Great episode again, been waiting to see another fan who's happy to just see how things progress rather than dive into wild theories and abuse for the show that's literally a "mystery" show. I love how there's mistakes made on all sides and that everyone has their own justification for what they did regardless of wether it's truly the right choice.

The hyperspace disaster that Indara was talking about in Acolyte episode 7. It was in the book Star Wars High Republic Light of the Jedi & Into the Dark. Where you can learn that all life on some planets was built in this event. Vernestra was alive at that time and because she is more connected to the force and when she travels through hyperspace she tends to have pain/"nausea". You could say that it is something similar to when Darth Nihilus in Star Wars by Republic vacuum cleaners the life from the planets. Better to read it or at least watch some lore video about it.

Sol made mistakes as a Jedi, killed the mom (unarmed), had attachment to Osha, but immediate regret, didn't attack Koril, wanted to tell the Council. Small mistakes, (along with everyone else except Kelnaca) built up can become too much to contain.

Yes. Sacrificed, many were, but in the end, the twins were saved. They were the most important evidence needed to prove the vergence in the Force. The "noble mission," then, was a success... from a certain point of view.

Ummm, no. Mother Come On I Wanna Lay Ya turned in to a force demon and attacked a child! The cover up is the fault of Carrie Ann Moss Windu. Throughout this episode, the Jedi used the force for knowledge and defense from the Commune of Marxist Space Witches. Thanks to incompetent writing, the Jedi are vindicated. GOOD GUYS ALWAYS WIN!

I loved this episode. And i love Sol so much as a character. He messed up big time lol and he probably shouldn't have been a Jedi with the issues he has, but such a well written character. There were no actual signs that the twins were in danger, and the Jedi had no right to interfere in another cultures rituals or ideas. But Sol allowed his emotions to get the better of him and convinced himself of a danger that didnt exist and in doing so murdered their mother, and caused the death of their tribe, and then blamed it all on a innocent young girl.

Acolyte all-flashback episode 7 was very good. I liked the references to the hyperspace catastrophe that wiped out life on some planets; of which in the last episode Jedi master Vernestra has pain/nausea from traveling through hyperspace due to her strong connection to the force. The fact that Sol was an emotional Jedi like Dooku, Anakin and Quigon Jinn was seen in quite a big way. The turn of the plot, who is responsible for the death of the entire Clan of these Witches who follow the path of Bogan = Darkness in magic, they were quite similar to the Witches of the Sisterhood of the Night from Dathomir, where Darth Maul also comes from. The fights were great, the choreography was great and seeing two Jedi fight against a possessed Wookie Jedi was great. But most of all, normally, just like Mother Cora, I felt this emotional pain in my heart. When Sol killed her partner, co-mother of two children and the love of her life, mother Aniseya, in front of her eyes. The destruction reminded me of something similar to when the Jedi destroyed the entire planet of Korriban, where the original Sith race came from.

You don't think that the fortress has collapsed. Due to the fact that the fire damaged the electronics and its gradual overloading and short-circuiting then caused the reactor explosion. When you can't wait to see Louise's reaction to what happens in episode 8, but you forget that you haven't yet seen what she thought of.. SPOILER Sol Killing the twin's mother yet. I know you love Sol of course. I love a lot of things about him, the actor did such a fantastic performance, but man in this episode Sol sure did overstep his reach. It's not one to one, but I keep thinking of Sol in comparison to well a meaning Christian missionary trying to take a native child from her family because he thinks she's "in danger", whatever that danger was. His fear got the best of him, as well as the best of most characters in this episode. Young Sol unfortunately is so sympathetically fallible honestly and I could imagine myself making similar mistakes. I used to see parents smoking around their young children so often as they walked up to buy a ticket when I would work the door at a movie theater and I'd just so badly want to yell at them to value their child's health better.

It’s like how police are taught to aim center mass, so “aiming to disarm” and stuff is just Hollywood nonsense. Once he had a grip on the two platforms, it’s like moving a heavy couch and needing the re-adjust your grip. You have to set the couch down first to do it. But had he done that there, the girls would’ve both fallen.

BLUF: TOORRRBINN JEEENNKINNS! (At least Nuna legs taste like chicken) First the small bits of "good" and the elements they are are definitely getting right.. then the choices that just land flat or nonsensical... Clearly the show has at least 1x OLD School (Pre-Zahn resurgence) EU/Legends fan, as now in addition to the Tynnan species, the Corporate Sector world of Bonadan (The Padawan's homeworld) is Canonized. They keep tapping the Brian Daley Han Solo novels, and that is a good thing. The Jedi Service Corps: Explorer Corps would certainly be involved in planetary surveys, and a Jedi Team WOULD be called in to investigate a world on record as ravaged to lifelessness 100 years ago by the Hyperspace disaster, now verdant and flourishing. It would be the logical next step. A "Vergence" in the Force was NEVER meant to Refer exclusively to magical force baby creation. That is why QGJ put it forward as "A Vergence" not "The Vergence." And yes, the whole world is large, and the 7 weeks have probably been spent hopping the ship from site to site, and using the caravan to conduct a zoned grid search around each survey hub. The planet was previously inhabited so residual construction and even operational power sources like that of the Mine fortress occupied by the Witches would not be unheard of. If they were not running an active landing beacon they could easily be missed. Investigating a force nexus would certainly be a proper jedi's job and not that of the dropout students who make up the survey corps As I have said before, yes, all Nightsiaters are Witches, but not all Witches are Nightsisters, Dathomir or not. They clarify these are NOT Nightsisters and are some "Other Force Cult". Symbionts are named in TPM in the speech QuiGon gives to exposition Midichlorians. These are not new. What is new is them "DNA Typing" the Midichlorians themselves. It can have a pass, and having an unnatural duplicate is reasonably suspicious. Twin's DNA may be identical, but the bacterium in their gut flora are unique. All that said, if this was the homework assignment of "Do the Rashemon thing" they definitely fail. They have done the hidden fortress and the 7 samurai multiple times each, so why not try something new? Rashemon has unreliable narrators all giving their own perspective on events, Some accurate some false and some deceptive. The truth lies Somewhere in between all of them. Contradictions between perspectives are perfectly fine. Contradiction internal to each narrative are acceptable if they provide clues to the truth, but not when they are just patently unhinged from the character's circumstance. Unless that was a coal mine or a shale deposit (Not Primarily found in volcanic calderas) stone still doesn't burn. I can believe that a salvaged facility with +100-year-old wiring can suffer a catastrophic failure If it shorts out the power generation systems... So Let's say the Transformers, Capacitors, or Batteries started blowing up. Still a bit of a stretch to destroy the entire stone fortress because the kid was playing with fire. I have been the kid who caught the living room on fire while scorching the corners off newspapwrs, but that was a carpet. There are still turn of the last century Buildings that are condemned due to substandard wiring and fire hazard.... But it is still the building that will burn if an electrical fire starts it, not a catastrophic electrical fire with no fuel. They turned Sol into a Karen that works for Social Services and wants to take your kida away for you being Space Satanists. They turn Torbin into all the "bad kids" invited into Wonka's choclate factory after a saucy lady offers him space candy. I do not begrudge getting rattled after being dominated, But two Knights and a Master should have been able to stop him from invading the mine a second time. They already had their evidence with the blood samples. Making Kelnacca a berserk murder monster under the effects of [Dominaton] is a Fair play And reinforces the notion why there are so few Wookiee Jedi. But if anybody was going to be suicidal over their misseteps it would be Kelnacca for breaking the Wookiee "no claws" Taboo all over Torbin's face. That at least explains HIS Hermitage of shame. Indara can Subdue a berserk Wookiee in hand to hand combat but still gets killed by a child with a knife. We already know the jedi can multitask their telekinesis (Luke does Crates, R2, and stacked rocks in a 1-arm handstand.) If two catwalks are too Heavy, just grab both children. (Even though size matters not.) Turning into an incorporeal smoke monster like Sylvanus from Warcraft is No way to indicate you were intending to comply with the request. Turning into an incorporeal smoke monster also generally makes you immune to physical attacks. Guess Sol made the will save against [Force Illusion]. We still Don't know what happened to Koril After she turned into a smoke monster to possess the coven and coordinate the group ritual casting of [Domination] on Kelnacca. No body = No death. The change in perspective doesn't explain anything we didn't already know, It doesn't justify the jedi's shame, They don't explain the mystery No one's trying to solve, And the double down on things that were already a given.
