Dude you don't even mention the main reason people buy this. Yeah, sure, its modular and its high quality and obviously it is. It's expensive. duh? but pretty much the only reason I bought this case was the way it looks. Simple, elegant, compact and SO minimalistic, just plain beautiful. Every other case out there has some random buttons or ports everywhere and logos all over the place... I don't want that kind of negativity in my life. I'll be so happy when my BEAUTIFUL and minimalistic new Ghost S1 arrives =))))

Well and if you live in EU, this case is actually cheaper than for example Ncase M1. Because, to total price of Ncase (around 220 USD) you have to add around 65 USD shipping, And then VAT + customs + customs administrative fee - which usually is around 40 - 50 USD. So you get above 300 EUR (or 330 USD) with no problem. On the other hand in case of Ghost there is no customs or VAT charge in EU, so this price is final.

Damn, I need to rewatch it when 4k is processed at the servers... As a mechatronics engineer...the solid aluminium, the torx screws, the inner panels, the upgradeability .... this is looks like a high end industrial product which is porn to me. The torx should have been magnetic and allen key/hex screws but overall... damn, this thing is sexy. For me the top mounted rad got me hyped, but since I know how to pack two 240mm rads inside another popular option, the decision will be hard. Thanks for the work Ali! The dual AiO would be interesting, since I already have the SC2 as a hybrid.

Loving the channel bro! Thanks for more great content and especially SFF coverage. The price on small run Indy chassis can be off putting but Louqe, NFC, Chimera, NCase etc are changing the game for the better. There is nothing wrong with Corsair, Fractal, Phanteks and other decent big players certainly. However, at some point in one's building career the desire for something that is a cut above in a PC enclosure takes hold and there is no turning back once you take the plunge. The quality, innovation and for me, supporting smaller designers who are pushing the envelope, is worth the price of admission. Cheers.

When are mainstream case manufacturers going to realise the huge opportunity with these style of cases? They are so expensive yet still selling well and receiving a lot of interest. Torx ("star") screws are standard in much of Northern Europe, and is a far superior standard to either Philips or Pozidrive. The included driver probably sucks, but many Europeans probably already own a set of torx screwdrivers. Their inclusion is a sign they take build quality and engineering seriously. Excellent case and review as always.

To elaborate: Front USB is useful, but a hub can do fine for most uses. I wonder however if not using the header wastes a USB hub, reducing overall bandwidth. About the headphones, if you're an enthusiast enough to buy a $250 case, you damn well should already own an external audio interface or a headphone amp.

i love this case, great review. timeless Scandinavian design with no tacky logos. the price is very fair if you consider the fact that this case will last several (cpu) generations...long after the RGB bling craze has worn out. and if you like RGB you can still put fans in that will glow. the fact it can easily handle a delidded cpu *on air* is a slam dunk.

Love the design of the case even if the price tag in AUD is a bit insane. I've been watching it for a while and absolutely love both the modularity of the tophots and the top panels (the copper plate is so beautiful!). I honestly think them using torx screws is excellent, I'm so sick of philips head in everything due to how prone to stripping they are, however I forget not everyone has a half decent driver set - though there's plenty of good wrench driver sets with every bit you could need close to the $20 mark at Bunnings for example lol. Another great vid, and I'd love to see both some custom sleeving and airflow configuration testing with a fan below the PSU once that's done - I feel like it might be somewhat redundant to have a fan there.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, Ominous black box quote the raven! Would look great in my Midnight Configuration or maybe blame infatuation when I stare into the darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, thinking outside the black box and fearing, then my soul from out that shadow lies floating on my computer room floor.

Please do a custom water loop with a high end CPU and GPU. Would be awesome to see what you can get the thermals to with water cooled GPU/CPU.

Not true, these panels are not milled from a solid block of aluminium. You can clearly see in the geometry that they are extruded very much the same way as most aluminium heatsinks are made. That said, the cutouts are probably milled and they got to have some outer surface treatment as extrusion process usually leaves some marks in the form of lines along the extrusion axis that are visible with most coatings. It is a pretty cost effective solution, albeit not as cheap as sheet metal stamping. With large parts it is especially difficult to get perfectly straight parts and good surfaces.

The aluminum panels are actually extruded and not milled from billet. They may have been machined, but not from a solid billet piece. Still quality though.

This week I decided to rebuild my PC from my 100L case to a SFF build. No Dan A4,or Ghost S1 in sight. Are you going to settle for another case or wait it out? I'm looking at the Velka 7 but I'd have to get a new GPU as mine will be 3mm too big. THREE MM. Oh well haha

@@mrsarcasm4874 I copped a Ghost S1 off reddits r/hardwareswap just a day or so after this post. It was a nightmare build man. After three weeks I finally got it together and as soon as I put it in its permanent place one of my GPU fans started dying. It has a constant rattle now. I am NOT taking that all apart again for a while. I'll turn my headphones up hahaha

Dude! Great video as always, although I don't care about the Ghost. But your recommendation for thos cables just kills it! I tried to fiddle those cables my self, but the pinout on the sf600 is just horrible. Thank you so much for sharing this gem with us!

I've been contemplating to buy this case, but I've never gotten a clear answer from Louqe how many and which one of those top hats I need for two HDDs, two SSDs, and a dual radiator. (Mounting them externally through USB is out of the question, I already have over a dozen USB devices.)

maybe you should make a roundup tips on making ITX build. Especially how some cpu cooler backplate isnt compatible with ITX board due to extra components at the back side.
