That was a great point about other teams picking up CC full court. And one play that stood out from that last game was the Storm going into a timeout and then coming back with full court defense which caught her off guard and got the steal. Any team looking to play the Fever going forward should be studying that sequence and the Fever should be looking at it too to better recognize when it’s coming.

I'm an Aces fan and yeah, the booing was despicable and does not represent me. Bit what saddens me the most is that little Amaya was in the audience, dude. Imagine coming back to a place where you not so long ago felt so loved and safe and suddenly everyone "hates" you/your mother.... How do you explain that to a child? I hope Dearica has support.

Now that the WNBA is back, Caitlin Clark has definitely been making an impact. On August 25, 2024, the Clark Report posted on X that Caitlin Clark has joined an “ELITE” group of four players in the NBA or WNBA to record more than 500 points and 200 assists BEFORE their 30th career game. The other three are Basketball Hall of Fame players (Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, and Isaiah Thomas). Of note, WNBA games are 8 minutes shorter than NBA games. On August 25, 2024, the StatMamba posted on X that Caitlin Clark leads all WNBA rookies with the most 20-point games (13) this season. The next closest rookie is Angel Reese (3). StatMamba also posted that Caitlin Clark has the most 20/5/5 games (11) in a single season this year compared to Breanna Stewart (12) in 2023. Breanna was also WNBA MVP in 2023. At this point in the season, Caitlin Clark should at least be in the DISCUSSION for MVP 2024 IMHO.

I don't remember fans freaking out about being picked up full court, it was more a point made in debates when Caitlin detractors said she's not that good. Fans would come back with "if she's not that good why are they picking her up 94 ft?

I'm interested what yall think about the USL league... Yes, there needs to be more opportunities for women to play professional soccer in the USA. However, I don't think that it's good for the sport that a bunch of independent businesses operating leagues exist. Is there a need for another division 1 league that operates parallel to NWSL? Maybe it would be great to establish league under the NWSL, for clubs to create academies.

So cancel free speech?
@saml74742 ай бұрын
These two do not get it. They don’t want “gen pop” (as Megan stated we are a few years ago), to have rights. They want to judge, but don’t want us to have the same rights. They think they’re superior and powerful. They both support taking away rights of the people and claim “common good”.
@MartaComplex2 ай бұрын
Not sure where anybody said that. Nobody is cancelling or censoring. Cue the tedious and manufactured moral panic. There is a difference between so-called 'free speech' and 'hate speech.' Americans love to wail on the topic, but people who shout the loudest about 'free speech' tend to be those desperate to justify the abuse of others. What about the rights of people to use social media without being subjected to constant slurs? People need to use this right to free speech more carefully. It isn't just carte blanche to be a total dickhead and make other people feel less than.
@saml74742 ай бұрын
@@MartaComplex It's concerning to hear you advocate for censoring free speech online, especially when you openly admit to supporting such measures. This is dangerous as it undermines the very foundation of democratic discourse. By seeking to silence opposing views, you not only contradict the principle of open dialogue but also reveals a troubling inclination toward a democratic society. While you accuse others of feigning moral high ground (while you sit on your own high-horse) it is your own words that betray a deeper, more insidious desire to control and limit diverse perspectives of the people. Limiting speech is not a part of democratic country; it’s the opposite. True democracy is not about imposing one's views on others, but about respecting the right of everyone to express their opinions, even if we disagree with them.
@tonygrajales24652 ай бұрын
@@MartaComplex any speech that’s legal, that doesn’t break any laws, is free speech and should not be censored.

No one cares. You and your choices are utterly meaningless. We thank you for contributing to the success of Megan's show. Rapinoe is a total legend in the women's football community and always stands up for what's right. Funny how idiots like you who love to drone on about free speech seem to want to censor Megan. Maybe take a minute to think on the abject hypocrisy.

cyberbullying segment, AR and her peers has been cyberbullies themselves (tweets, tik tok live comments, etc.) so I think some responsibility should be taken for committing cyberbullying. now that it has spiraled out of control, she wants to campaign about it but think how how the bullying began, own that and then denounce it, don't like you didn't do anything to ignite it. GREAT podcast, I enjoy the topics and commentary is so real :)

Why are you trying to censor Megan? Why is it that the free speech bores are always the first to try and silence other people? Megan is a legend in women's sports. Her knowledge is obviously transferable and her expertise is invaluable. The dialogue with Sue in the context of soccer and basketball brings a really unique perspective. Nobody is forcing you to watch, but we appreciate you adding to the viewing figures. D'oh.
