It's fun and interesting the stories you tell us about your family. The berry story is interesting about your grandmother and her work getting the berries for jam. I immediately thought I did not recognize the name and then you described they are native to the south. I've been in New Jersey my whole life and cranberries are native to our state. When my children were in grammar school we went to a large cranberry bog for a class trip. It was very interesting and similar how they grow in the water to how your berries grow and are taken out of the water. PS: The scones recipe looks good. I think I'll try this one too. Thank you

Mayhaw jelly was on our breakfast table every morning growing up and I was raised in southeast Texas. My grandmother and mother always made mayhaw jelly in late Spring, enough for us to have year-round because mayhaws were only available in Springtime.

My baking turns out so inconsistent. I want to try this recipe but using einchorn flour since it has higher protein . The problem is its drywr so here I go needing to tweek the recipe amounts, ugh.

Shouldn't be difficult, but I'd do it by hand so you can feel the texture and give it extra rest time to hydrate

Either works, just never wash it. Cloth is a very old Southern tradition but isn't necessary
