I genuinely like it, but that MSRP (RRP) reindeer game is beyond silly. They should have gone full board and listed the MSRP at $20,000 and they can claim a savings of 99%! 🙄. I like Spinnaker but if it is a racing themed watch I'm automatically comparing it to Dan Henry and Stratton. In this instance it is a good watch. It is a good price (obviously at the real price not the nutty MSRP - took the idea from Invicta did they?). I get the colorways and F1 association. But sadly the design doesn't grab me ... Not as much as Dan Henry and Stratton. As others have said it makes a nice gift watch for a F1 fan. If that is what attracts you then I say it is a winner. I like F1 but more of a IMSA/ Le Mans fan myself.

I'd never heard of this brand before, I like this Cosworth watch but the thickness is a deal breaker. That being said, I checked out their site and the "Lydden Hill" watch is very tempting. It's a PRX style integrated bracelet watch, 41mm diameter & 12mm thick and a heap of colour choices.

Its a £200 nh35 watch, which is fairly standard but at least its something a little different rather than just a diver based on the submariner. I'd have been tempted by the red but the other colours arent for me

I have one of these winders....Cadola obviously is all part of the Dartmouth Group (Spinnaker) and buying direct on sale the price cannot be challenged for the value. Mine shipped Fedex 2nd day from Hong Kong and suspect the shipping cost more I paid for the watch and winder.

Years ago in early 90s I saw Niki Lauda arrive at Los Angeles International Airport and I met Mike (I think) Costin there as well. Both were thanks to working for the no1 celebrity/entertainment limo company in Los Angeles at the time. The Lauda watch would have been nice since it links these two icons of F1 racing...

I got a Cadola Lydden Hill on a Black Friday sale from Long Island Watch a few days ago and I have to admit, I love it. I can take or leave the whole motorsports gig (although Top Gear was my favorite show ever if that counts for anything) and I'm concerned about this integrated bracelet breaking someday, but over all I think it's surprisingly everything I never knew I always wanted. These watches are a fairly acceptable build quality and have beautiful colors. If you can get over the nonsensical Invicta-style, fake pricing they seem to be pushing, they really are pretty cool. Kinda wish mine came with a helmet, but I guess I'll live.

Like the Lotus Cortina Cosworth inspired white dial. Was pleasantly surprised to hear it had an NH movement, I was expecting to see a Miyota 8000 series in it. Still don’t like it enough to buy it though.

They (Cadola) have a Christmas Special list with 50% off the discounted prices. The extra 50% doesn't apply to all watches just the ones on the list. Tempted by a couple.

Interesting but yeah nah. This is an exercise in fashion marketing. Firstly we have the Invicta style price slashing. There is no way that an NH35 in an average finished case is worth anything near $1k even or even half of that. And then we've got the racing fashion sense - using names like Cosworth and vague references to people who maybe drove race cars. And then there's the racing helmet (a la Tissot - except that Tissot doesn't come with a winder). The watch itself looks a bit like a Seiko 6139 Cevert dial but without all of the coolness factor, the pepsi bezel and the chronograph function. The fonts and the hands and the indices seem to reference the 6139, as well as the dial colour. Would a real racing driver wear a 6139? Heck yes! and famously so. Would a real racing driver wear one of these? Not on your Nelly! Great review as always.

Lmao I really hope that $1300 MSRP is just one of those permanent discount trick cause in no way this watch screms $1300. But at $200, quite a catch. I love how the dial reminisces of cast aluminium engine inlet in cars. Shame there's not much collaboration between manufacturers and engine tuners like the old days anymore. Lotus, Cosworth. So much racing heritage on the way out because of electric vehicle revolution. I guess this is what quartz crisis felt like.

The winder is super-cool! If I could buy just the Ayrton winder for $30 (USD), I'd be all over it. The watches are cool-looking and stand out. But they just look (and probably are) cheaply-built. The original prices are, well, beyond ludicrous. Even at just $219 I'm passing on these. Bummer. Great partner companies involved. Great theme and design. But a huge shortfall on execution. 😕
