TheNewKnight the thing with 3D is that it has to be rendered (calculate all the textures, shadows, object colors in different lightings, and calculate the distance and perspectives so you convert it into a 2D image since our screens are 2D). If it is a movie, it doesn't matter how much time it takes, you can make it super detailed and go to sleep while the pc generates a movie file (depending on what you are doing, each frame can take hours or days), then you don't have to render anything again. Now with videogames the thing is different, everytime something moves or the light changes you have to render again from a different perspective (and you want 60 frames per second, no 1 frame per hour), and make ugly algebra to calculate if a model is touching another model (collission), so your character doesn't go through things like a ghost (this includes the floor). This doesn't mean it is impossible, but it requires a lot of performance consideration from the developer and a very good GPU to run it. So, being able to do a movie this realistic doesn't mean we already have the tech to create one in realtime (IDK if we have games like this already).

There have been many times in which she had revealed to truth to him and many times he loses his sanity.

I don't think they eat the people, because you saw the corpses of the shipmates, and they just simply decayed. @Alondro775 жыл бұрын
It would have been more sensible had the propaganda not been so blatant. Give them a REASON to fear him, one more in line with actual werewolf lore, like he loses control during the complete transformation and goes berserk, showing the rather obvious fact that yes, HE'S EXCEEDINGLY DANGEROUS. Instead it's, "Oh look, the military is racist because they're scared of the furry!" I've seen fanfics do this exact thing SO MANY DAMNED TIMES, I'm really sick of it. It's very weak writing for the sake of the 'message'.
@KingNicotine5 жыл бұрын
Alondro77 ...I couldn't agree more. Having given several good years of my life to the Marines I can say that the "racism" isn't as much about race as people would think. First and foremost comes attitude. There are some people that just need and attitude adjustment and nobody likes to deal with them. Hence...they catch a lot of flak. Secondly....probably most prevalent...discrimination between Marines has a lot to do with ones MOS. Infantry and anyone closely associated with infantry...we tend to stick together...and we tend to give a lot of flak to our POG brethren. Then...of course...there's the one group everyone loves to hate on. Boots. If you're a fresh face in the fleet and you don't have a bar on your collar....prepare for Hell.
@wolfh915 жыл бұрын
@@Alondro77 Then again, in many cases, discrimination and racism doesn't need a reason like fear. Sometimes, being different is enough. It's been a while since I watched the show but didn't the soldiers compare the werewolfs to dogs? IIRC the fear only came when the MC returned to the base after the fight, all battered up, with wounds a normal human would have died from twice.

In those days,westerns live in the land which old Chinese emperor give away,they did build new things shows chinese new tech like trains,phones,micro glasses, but in the same time,they made new rules,like chinese and dog are not allow to get in some place they built as a sign hang outside. if a Chinese and a westen get in an arguement,Chinese will have to pay or be punished. I am not a hater because of the history,it's just quite ironic to see today‘s people love asian story without knowing what it's really talking about. to me this story shows the old chinese culture fade away after the war,chinese learn new tech and knowledge ,evolve,it hope we could fight back when we were treated as slaves in our own home land but the truth is we mostly just forgot and move on

I feel like I read the ending of Sonnie's Edge totally differently, not that she suffers and is trapped in the body of a monster (as, given that they already moved her consciousness once, it is possible to move her consciousness into a human form) but that she has suffered and is stronger for it. Sonnie herself even says that all people see when they look at her is a victim, but she doesn't see herself that way; she uses her new form to fight for survival and to prove that she is no longer the prey, but a predator to be feared. Obviously that is just my take on it, it's always interesting to see what other people think. Re-watching the episode you can also see SO many little hints to the reveal. E.g. they don't swap the connection to the monster, they turn 'off' the connection to the human body; the lack of reaction of her human body in comparison to the heightened emotions of her competitor during the battle; her subtly closing the door of the locker that her human body is stored in when she meets the blonde girl in the truck... One of my favourite episodes by far ♥️

The Mystery of Aquila Rift is my personal favorite. It reminds me how life and reality in general is actually very subjective. Nothing matters. It all just means what we want. Intelligence, purpose, thought. It means nothing. We make reality what we want it to be. How we get it doesn't matter.

What I really loved about the series is that the episodes can present you with an interesting idea and message that goes along with the overall story but it doesn't beat you over the head and shove it down your throat. Zima Blue, although not one of my favorites, does question what's important finding the unknown truths or enjoying the simplicity of what we already know. Beyond the Aquida Rift asked if you want the horrible truth or the beautiful lie. They give you the option to just see the stories or explore their meanings and that's really awesome to me.

In all honesty I wish some of the dialogue was omitted so we're left to wonder if, 1.) Sonnie was always the monster (her human form is quiet, and it would have been cool if her human shell died instantly without saying a word). 2.) Sonnie was once human, but transferred her consciousness into the beastie ever since the accident. 3.) Sonnie transfered her consciousness into the beastie once her human form was killed for good.

The good thing about LDR is that there is something for practically every fan of animation. For me, the more photo realistic segments of animation were more my top pics with the exception of "Ice Age".

155 comments and not one person mentions Sucker of Souls? That was my favorite episode. I feel like people don't like it because it ends in the biggest cliffhanger. The art style in that episode was equally as unique for animation as Fish Night.
@geraldcastellano19885 жыл бұрын
It's not much of a cliffhanger. Even though it does fade to black it's kind of obvious theyre fucked. I enjoyed it but what I found disappointing is how rushed and short it was. The characters didn't really grab my attention and the action was short. Maybe if it was a few minutes longer it would've been more enjoyable.
@AnthonyVassallo4 жыл бұрын
@@geraldcastellano1988 I totally agree. The usual "we escaped -- oops, no we didn't" ending that is a staple of bad horror movies.

I want to add to the fish episode, which you ranked on 7, that it's a homage or reference to icarus fall. You didn't mention it but the similarities are undeniable. Father and son, son flies literally too high and doesn't see the risks like his father who also enjoyed it but from a safe distance. Have a nice day

for the sonnie's edge, i could be wrong but, i believe the twist isn't that she has to live in the monster body it's that she is the monster. the monster uses the human body as a vessel similarly to how humans use the monsters a vessels.
@Under_a_heat_lamp5 жыл бұрын
TheMatthew001 Yeah, but I think it’s because she was in the monster when she was attacked and her body was destroyed so she’s trapped in the monster. At least that’s what I got from it.
@TheMatthew0015 жыл бұрын
Eliza Snow the reason I think she is the monster just using the human as a meat vessel is because of the beginning conversation and her “edge”. At the beginning they are offered a large sum of money for their monster, but they decline because the monster is “special” to them, because the monster is their friend. The other reason is the “I fight for my life”, when the other monster dies in the fight the guy controlling it is fine. I wouldn’t call that fighting for your life if when you die nothing happens. Now if she was the monster dying in the fight means she would be dead. There’s also a line after she’s attacked, saying how the girl was “already dead” or brain dead or something. Essentially she says that the body was meaningless as it wasn’t actually her. It’s all speculation, but I think it’s a better twist if she was the monster. Rather than just getting trapped in the monster.
@icevozzgaming622 жыл бұрын
@@TheMatthew001 there's o twist. She was trapped in the monster. They could save the body but it's just a vessel but it was originally her body. Her consciousness is just inside the monster. Plus they didn't offer them money for their monster. They're offered to lose the fight for a large sum of money. And the reason they declined is because she's inside the monster. For her it's not about revenge or pride. She's just simply fighting for her life.
