Amen. 20 years ago I was the head of a very secular family. My wife was saved in 2004 and after a lonely walk for her, I was saved in 2012 and since then all our (grown up) children and their partners have come to know the Lord. Actually not sin, but lack of understanding. They see it as a certain churches' way or doctrine. But come to look at it, very dignifying, orderly and holily. I sang in the Anglican church choir here in Nigeria, West Africa, long before being a Bishop of mine ministry. My choir, chorister foundation gave me a lot, even as I grew to the level of an assistant Choir Master, playing and interpreting the staff notations. Today, I can tell. I am working on inculcating the system to my people because it gives and brings a certain hair-raising spirit into the church. I love it. This is the song that the Holy Spirit used in waking me up from sleep this day January 31, 2023. I give God all the praise.

Music is a language and in the same way that we don’t longer use Shakespeare’s English, the young generations have their own music. I am a musician and I love traditional music, but for worship purposes I also support modern music because we need to evangelise young souls. I agree that ‘rock concerts’ are bad, but also ‘classic music concerts’ are not appropriate, the church is a place for worship and music is only a tool for the higher purpose of praising the Lord and saving souls.
