I’ve been emotionally (and physically but that’s a different story) abused and it pisses me off to no end for her to act like she’s advocating for women experiencing verbal abuse or something. In that relationship dynamic his comments could come across as micro aggressions but it was very clear that Cole was super oblivious and had never had someone explain to him the sensitivity around food for people with body insecurities. It’s not his fault she’s traumatized from bullying or whatever it is that makes her hyper sensitive to that subject. It’s not his fault she didn’t communicate a damn thing and went to sleep next to him every night like it was fine. This interviewer is a social chameleon and I won’t be tuning in again, super cringey to watch him agree with this narcissist and pet her ego after agreeing with Cole the entire time.

One thing I took from this interview: Interviewer: You're a 10! Zanab: Thank you! That's all I've ever wanted!! Zanab: Parents love me!! She was obviously offended when Cole said she was a 9. And honestly not everyone is a 10 and that's ok! But she truly believes she's the hottest and baddest and needs you to know that. She's not humble at all. She's beautiful but her attitude comes off as arrogant. She said parents love her but the relationship between two people is very different than one of parents. Intimitae relationships are very challenging. I hope she does good work in therapy

@@berlizgonzalez6736 no it wasn’t like that…at the end of the day anyone in general wants their partner to feel they are a 10 in their eyes. It’s an extremely stupid thing she did asking cole to rate her in the first place. The interviewer was calling her a 10 in a holistic sense…and everyone wants their partner that they will marry to see them that way…does that make sense? You wouldn’t want the dude you’re going to marry to say you’re a 9 but your friend is a 10. that’s all there is to it for this particular thing. She is no doubt arrogant and egotistical in general…but for this particular point it’s not toxic.

This dude is pretty annoying. He talks about love and how people just want to be negative, like as if people are against this girl for no reason, when he is literally sitting across from negativity incarnate. Like sure give yourself props and celebrate your strengths, but not acknowledging or taking any responsibility for your own part played is pathetic. Was not team cole the entire time until the reunion. This interviewer says all of this stuff, but he would be instantly regretful. No one was toxic towards her. Coke was the wrong guy for her, she should’ve bowed out and left instead of keeping it going and building her insecurities and resentment 🙄

All I want to say is... It is important to create deep connections with your partner and giving out negative comments every 10 minutes isn't going to be good. In a lasting relationship, it is important to provide positive comments and compliments more than negative ones. Good thing she is single now. She needs time for herself and figure out what she is really looking for. And Cole was just too immature for her, too. He needs someone who can also just joke around with. And if she finds herself dating again, she needs to find a mature man.

What’s up with this notion of ‘meet me at my level or up’??? I don’t get it when people say this. It’s so weird for so many reasons: 1. Why should that person be the ‘up’ person? Why can’t you be that person? If everyone said this, no one would meet anyone 2. What do you mean- just financial? Is financial top priority? Maybe they are better than you at being kind or thoughtful or calm- maybe that’s their up? I’m so sorry but she sounds a bit confused. And I think this unfortunately is a result of not having a framework. There’s no framework so people are just doing their own thing with their own ideas. And because everyone is doing this, people are struggling! Because who is to say what is right or wrong! It’s just confusing and, I’m sorry if this sounds patronising, but I feel sorry for western women. I say this as a British Pakistani Muslim woman living in the UK. I am so proud of my religion and how it sets, for us, a framework. We know the role of men and women in a marriage. The woman does not have to give half of her income. She needs to give nothing of her income! Nothing at all and he can never ask her for it. She can give it if she wants but it’s entirely her choice. But then we accept that our husband is the man and leader in the relationship. It seems western woman want a ‘man’ but then want total equality too- how hard that is to achieve for a man. It seems controlling and expecting too much. Btw unfortunately, now this modern 50,50 culture is affecting a lot of Muslims too in the west. The men like to adopt it- and this by itself, shows that this modern feminist 50,50 stuff actually works in favour of the men, not the women!
@DivinityinLove Жыл бұрын
To be fair if you want to follow a framework where the man is automatically the leader just because he has a penis and then you will probably judge him if he doesn't match up to your expectations of a male and this all makes you happy, that is fine. However feeling sorry for western women and their 50/50 ethos, you have to consider that people also feel sorry for eastern women who believe they need a man to lead them and cannot lead themselves or be independent and then get trapped in toxic relationships with men and their huge egoes fed by their traditional religious ideas created by MEN BTW. I find it quite sickening but each to their own. Having a framework is a good idea, sure, but this framework is to be worked out by each individual for themselves and not by other people for them. Nobody knows what someone else needs in a relationship. So to me it sounds like you're also pretty confused. Many of us are very happy with our self defined roles in our equal partnerships where we are guided by our own minds and hearts and don't put men on a pedestal based on nothing evidential, only history books edited by men. It's a very silly ideology you present your judgment with. Doesn't provide any wisdom against the confusion you're challenging amongst westerners. Most importantly, at least western women are free unlike eastern and Muslim girls and women around the world abused based on this ideology of yours around men and their "leadership" and unearned superiority. First judge the problems of your own eastern philosophies and how they imprison women and destroy their lives before trying to present it as a better alternative to the west's dysfunction. In no way does it compare lol. We have charities trying to HELP trapped enslaved women from the east, not the other way around.
@user-nc2fk1jy8l Жыл бұрын
@@DivinityinLove Hi, a few points: 1. Of course you can feel sorry for us. We can all have our own opinion. 2. Do western women really get 50,50? I I know many western women that pay 50 per cent but still do most of the household chores, like the cooking, cleaning and taking care of the kids. The 50,50 idea sounds great, but in reality, does that really happen? in reality, can it work? 3. Even if your husband/partner does do 50 per cent of the chores and pays 50%, can he ever get pregnant, can he ever go through the hardships of pregnancy and labour? Can he take 50% of that? How does that work? How do western women with this 50,50 notion of life make their partner share 50% of that? 4. We don't respect our husbands or allow him to lead because of his anatomy. In fact, if for whatever reason, he lost that part of his anatomy, we would still give him that role. And we do this because we believe in our creator, who created men and women and gives us instruction on the best way to live. I think He knows better that you and I. And just because you have has grouped all religions as one, i.e. man-made, doesn't mean it is true. Our religion, Islam and our book, the Quran, is from Allah, God. I would advise you to read it. I think you will realise how it is not the same as the other religions you might be aware of. I think you will be surprised by the rights our religion gives us. I understand that you many think our religion oppresses us because some of our men pick and choose and abuse the women. But that isn't because they follow our religion- but in contrast, it's because they don't. We had rights to inheritance and our money 1400 years before the West ever decided to give these rights.

Cole is a genuine guy and was twisted out of shape not just by Zanab but by Netflix itself. Cole, fun-loving, wears his heart on his sleeve, walked into a perfect storm of manipulative Netflix producers exploiting deep emotional insecurity issues Zanab put on full display the moment they faced each other physically. I hope she gets a huge does of self-awareness - and she owes him a massive public apology for lying about him on multiple occasions - a typical 'me too' approach where someone is publicly accused without non-public trial (like Cliff Richard). Despicable. Cole's self-awareness that he was a bit immature and unwise in some of the things he said is fully realised and he's learned (just watch his other interviews on YT) but I cannot say the same for Zanab. As for Netflix, deceitful editing ... disgusting.

@@mpro9446 I saw that part of the reunion again (prob on Dr. Honda’s channel) and she specifically said she has just never been serious enough with someone to live with them. Her longest relationship in life was two years, which to me seems short as someone in her age range. It’s a significant relationship, but for that to be the longest…I don’t know that’s kinda weird. Less than two years means you haven’t gone through significant, serious stuff most likely, haven’t talked engagement or marriage, haven’t lived together (as she said), and are often still in a honeymoon phase. It seems like guys run from her pretty quick. It’s definitely enough time to fall in love, but I don’t know if it’s enough time to really go through all the ups and downs, times you feel so close and times you have to work out problems. I might be biased because my serious relationships were eight years and now six years, and I’m around her age.
