The behaviour, Tyler and Ashley are showing, has nothing to do with being christian and living christian ideals. Starting a christian marriage on abandoning his own 3 kids, after fighting for custody for them and inflicting severe psychological and emotional damage on them by preferably denying and omitting their mere existence is extremely cruel and nearly diabolical to me. In my eyes they are both hypocrites of the highest order and besides this I have the feeling, that Tyler does not even know what love is, let alone one, that is unconditional. Their behaviour is so shallow, despicable and egotistical, that I am not even able to wrap my head around it. I do NOT want to see them ever again on tv and I wish I never had.

I couldn't believe when Ashley's dad told her "stick around even if it gets really hard, DON'T LEAVE" because he himself was bad to women and benefited from being forgiven. It also sends the message that her happiness is less important than committing to man. He SHOULD have said, "that man better treat you right! You have every right to choose better if he doesn't!" Also did anyone else catch the way she looked at him before they walked down the aisle? Absolute ice in her eyes.

Yup, she looked like she resented that man. She seems like a person who likes to save face. She clearly did not want her dad to walk her down the aisle, but it would look bad if he didn’t. And the way she sticks by Tyler… Had she left him she’d feel like it’s another failed relationship and it would look bad on her. She’s defending him to protect both his and her image. She will do anything to save face. Her reputation is all that she cares about, she’ll suffer in silence just to look perfect to others. I just think that’s unhealthy.

25:35 let’s be real, from how it’s looking, Ashley didn’t want Tyler to have children or be in “those kids” lives. Not sure what discussion they had about existing kids in the pods but Tyler doesn’t want to continue his relationship with his children and Ashley doesn’t seem to want him to have one. She claimed that lady called her a b*tch...clearly that was a stretch. She claimed Katie was repeatedly drooling over Nick to the point of being disrespectful...clearly that was a stretch. I suspect her parents tried to check her and she told them she was too old to listen to them since she was an adult and "mature" now and didn't need them, so they let her be. And now she has rewritten that in her brain as them cutting her off. I even suspect the "locking snacks away" situation was distorted by her weird recollection of events to frame herself as a victim.

When I hear the name Stephen, I think of someone I worked with over 20 years ago! He always tried hard to be charming but it never landed and use to give everyone-especially our female coworkers-really bad vibes. Cheaters are almost always insecure people, or people with false esteem so it's interesting that Monica really liked Steven I think because he was always placating her & being a good-boy, which I think can be a sign of insecurity when a man is always "yes dear". Their dynamic always felt like they both knew she was better than him.
