I don't know if this is true but it sounds plausible: in the LIB contract, it says if you get engaged you must continue through with the show/wedding regardless if they break up or not. OR pay $50 000 penalty if they want out. That way LIB still gets content/drama. Otherwise everyone would be getting "engaged" just to get the reveal and then immediately cut things off if they don't like what they see 😂 Edit: Source is from LIB forums and I didn't look into it so don't take my word for it lol

So she wouldn’t owe Netflix a penalty but she would have missed out on a big paycheck if she didn’t make it to the alter

So yeah no one actually paid that fine. But they were constantly "reminded" about it by the producers. I 100% believe that Catherine didn’t expect Freddie to be as attractive as he is. And since he is, it’s triggering her insecurities. She was hoping he’d have a flaw she could easily pick out to make herself feel better but since he hasn’t shown one, it makes her self destruct and create problems to gain the upper hand. Crazy stuff. Edit: Yes, Freddie admitted to cheating. As someone who has been cheated on in every relationship, Catherine should be very careful. Which is why I’m confused as to why she didn’t ask him about that in the pods AND why she hasn’t cut Freddie off upon learning that crucial info. If she’s gonna accept his cheating past, she can’t mistreat him for it. Either get over it and move forward or hate it and leave.
