Feels like waking up late in the evening from an afternoon nap. Feeling alien and then slowly recognising the world around.

Lost my father in a tragic road accident February this year. It's July now. This evening as I was going through some of the old clips of his laughter and smile, I got reminded of this. I used to come here quite often and feel peace but this time it ached my heart.

Okay so, this is like something else. I rarely come across something so silently beautiful. You somehow managed to visualise a feeling, the feeling of nostalgia. If this is an experiment, It's one of those which results with something extraordinary. Your audio arrangement and mixing has been done so finely. Your choice in background music only intensifies the ambiance. Feels like something like this can only be curated by a deeply emotional being or excellently expressive one. This could be the face of Modern Indie Cinema. I feel like I'm going to come back to this more than I think. Again, this is really, really beautiful, Disha.

Isn't it so good how we can record some memories be it of a stranger on a road and after long time when we watch it we can exactly feel the same way what we had felt at that particular moment all those noises and chaos suddenly becomes so peacefully melodious and then when we look back we realise that the hurt was necessary and good.

Easily the best video I saw in a long time. It was full of little moments which can be easily forgotten but has this power of bringing nostalgic feel when looking back at it years later. These are like a bookmarks of "walk down the memory lane" books we never have time to sit and read but always have unavoidable yet not so significant presence. Being an observer most of my life, I really love seeing these moments from few steps behind than being among them and your video is all I could ask for that. It made me recollect what it felt to be living in "my" moment which I'm surprisingly quite missing since pandemic. And love is a laserquest (or not) at the end was a beautiful final touch. It made your video quite personal as it's my favourite Arctic Monkeys song and for other personal connect I have with the song. So thanks a lot for this video and also for making me love this song even more than I actually do

Whoever you are, wherever you are, thank you, thank you for making me feel inspired again, thank you for making me realise a lot of things again, for reminding me of the love I had for all the little things , reminding me to start shooting them again and store them instead of focusing on all the chaos in my mind, thank you for making me feel peaceful for a while, thanks for giving me some hope in life. You might have created a random thing but it made me feel a lot of things so thank you once again Stranger, keep posting. ✨✨

Similarly to the rest of the comment section, I get a certain feeling of comfort from this video (and others like it). Something about just seeing snipits of people's lives, those who in all likelihood I will never meet, just getting a tiny glimpse into their existence makes me appreciate just how big the world is. It also makes me appreciate my own life more. It's easy to forget that other people are living lives just as complex and diverse as my own. I suppose that's always bound to happen since I'm only ever going to have my perspective. But I'm ok with that, so long as I have reminders I'll be fine. Well, my point is this is a lovely video. I'm glad you shared it with the world to see. I found this video looking for the Kenichiro Isoda album that the song playing in the majority of the video is from. It appears that upload of the album has been unlisted, but not taken down. So I'm glad I still have it, that album has helped me through some tough nights the last few years. Glad to know other people enjoy it too. Hope you have a good day.

Update, it appears the album has been taken down. A real shame. I found it during quarantine and I got really attached to it. It's presence will be missed whenever I need to just turn on calming music. Of course it's not like all of Isoda's work has been taken off of youtube but that was the video I was most connected to. I'm gonna miss. Hope you're doing well, whoever reads this. Life keeps going, but we can still take it at our own pace :)

Update 2, I've come to the realization this is my favorite video on the internet. I'll comment every time I come back here, start of something new I suppose. Can't wait to see where this goes

Update 3, hello again! Today was the first day of my final year of high school. It was nice seeing all my friends again. But the end is within sight now. That's alright though. Change is something that is necessary for us in life. But until then, I'll enjoy the stability I do have. 1:59 is probably my favorite clip from the video. It just feels so... human. The beauty, the sadness, it represents everything we are I suppose. I always enjoy coming back here, it reminds me of who I live my life for. Yes, I do it for myself but also for those around me. Everyone who's path I've crossed in life. I just wanna make the world a better place than I found it. And I don't think that will ever change.

Update 4, back again! Welp, I confessed to my crush today. So that's fun I guess. Came back here to distract myself from it all for bit. To remember that regardless of if she reciprocates the feelings, life will go on. Forever grateful for this video, peace out for now
@AnthonyJohnson-zk7cc Жыл бұрын
Update 5. I didn't come back here for a while because I wanted time to process my feelings over something that happened, and coming back now made me realize how long it's actually been. Right about 80 days. Huh. It felt shorter but also longer than that. Shorter as in "wow, it was only that long ago? " but also longer as in "wow, I feel a bit like a different person now" Anyways, I should probably explain what it is I'm even talking about. So in my last update I talked about how I confessed to my crush, and to my actual surprise, she liked me back! So we started dating. But, after a week, she came to realize that she only liked me as a friend and we broke up. I admit that it hit me kinda hard. It was my first time being in a relationship and I was so excited for it, so it did hurt to have it end so quickly. I went into a stupor for about a month. She was very understanding of my position and she still did want to be friends, so she let me vent to her about it. Looking back on it now, I realize that every time I talked to her about it I was trying to win her over again. I knew in my head that wouldn't happen but my heart couldn't accept it. Eventually, I'm pretty sure she caught onto it and pretty firmly told me it was over. I think I needed that. It allowed me to actually, truly move on. That was about a month ago. We started talking again pretty recently and I think I'm actually ready to approach her as a friend and not as a potential partner anymore. We still care a lot about each other, we've said so numerous times even after the breakup. So it'll be ok. I'm glad that it turned out ok.

A montage of a stranger's life with no context. Memories over memories in my mind. A palimpsest. let's see if someday I bump into or exchange glances with one of you in this video and feel "I am forgetting something" p.s. Since you shared so much I would feel a cheater if i don't share something too. "As if a miracle Chennai was not hot today. The theatres were packed with people queuing up to see The batman. I asked the ticket counter guy, "Does Jhund have subtitles?". Ukraine is being destroyed. Syria and others have already been destroyed. What a lovely video :)"

Thank you for sharing :) Following is a quote by Mari Andrew that I was reminded of by the narration of your day : “I am washing my face before bed while a country is on fire. It feels dumb to wash my face, and dumb not to. It has never been this way, and it has always been this way. Someone has always clinked a cocktail glass in one hemisphere as someone loses a home in another. While someone falls in love in the same apartment building where someone grieves. The fact that suffering, mundanity and beauty coincide is unbearable and remarkable.”
