Let be clear, Martell blew his life up but never expected Mel to leave. He wasnt expecting to have that outside baby, coleslaw chose to have that baby HE wanted to abort. If he loved her like he said he did, he would have left Mel before the show, married sis & lived in bliss woth her & the baby after he was done with his divorce...none of that has happened. Men like him like the excitement of both relationships, sneaking, coleslaws' worshipping him and taking his crumbs. Mel is a public example of what women should be doing- holding men accountable and prioritizing herself. The only thing I COMPLETELY DISAGREE with is Martell loves Coleslaw. I think he has extremely low esteem and is in love with the way she makes him feel. He is not the brightest crayon in the box, but he looks like a shining star compared to her intellect. He is very jealous of Mel. Coleslaw makes him feel better about his insecurities. She doesn’t love him either! Anyone that would assist in breaking up a home that will leave permanent scars on his children, can’t truly love someone. Nah.

Fact Check: Tyler Perry’s “The haves & the have nots” was actually “the backbone of OWN” prior to Iyanla + Love & Marriage Huntsville. Tyler & Oprah have both spoken on how his shows helped to stabilize the network bc Oprah initially wanted the network to be wayyyy more spiritual, a la “Super Soul Sunday” but THAT didn’t resonate w/ viewers. Ms Robbie’s reality show pulled Oprah’s network ratings out the gutter which was the catalyst for her bringing more black scripted and unscripted shows on her network. I wish they would have flashed -backed to Melody talking about “respectful cheating” at the dinner table with the group in season one. The Holt’s knew what the deal was before filming.
