I’m coming up to my first anniversary of discovering Lovebites. That moment was life changing. I absolutely love everything about this band. They are as close to perfection as is humanly possible. Asami is an absolutely incredible vocalist. Great reaction - hope they didn’t catch too many flies with their mouths open so wide!!

Yep, if anybody wants to check out her vocals to the fullest, the live version of "Edge of the World" is what you should watch. On an unrelated note, how cute is it that he thinks this is death metal? Maybe someone should suggest Slaughter to Prevail so he can realize the many differences in metal subgenres?

Welcome to the world of wolfpack. Lovebites is the best one metal band right now on the earth. All the musicians on this band is insane and world class talent. Not a gimmick or fake. They effortless. Like the Goddesses. What a great reaction and great analysis by the way. Especially about the singer's vocal technique. I may not know anything about singing techniques, but what I do know is Asami the vocalist of Lovebites has a very unique, rich, beautiful, powerful and high-pitched voice. And she could do it perfectly for a full 2 hour concert. Thank you very much for explaining to us about the sound quality of Asami. We wolfpack need a reaction from vocal teachers like this. Next song from them, try they song from live concert again.. "Edge of the world" or "Swan song" Once again thank for your great reaction to Lovebites.

Lovebites are the real deal, a once in a generation band whose live perfomances are considered by many fans to be better than their studio recordings and not many bands can claim that. All members are insanely talented musicians at the top of their game, classically trained from a very early age and multi-instrumentalists. They are all around thirty years old. Miyako (black hair/Dean guitar) has studied classical piano (for twenty-eight of her thirty-one years) to concert performance standard and the piano is really her primary instrument. She taught herself to play the guitar at eighteen or nineteen and also plays bass and some drums.(BTW she was 4/5 months pregrant when this concert was recorded). Midori (blond/Esp guitar) studied piano and keyboards from the age to two until around twenty when she attended one of the premier music schools in Japan to learn guitar. Haruna (drums) also studied piano from an early age before switching to drums. Miho (bass) started out playing piano before she switched to bass. She also plays some guitar and drums, Asami the singer has had vocal coaching and her graceful stage presence is thanks to her studying classical ballet for many years. For something very different from Lovebites try 'Swan Song' with the piano intro, 'Break the Wall', 'Edge of the World', 'Frozen Seranade', 'Holy War', 'Epilogue'. 'Scream for Me', 'Winds of Transylvania' for atarters. Really, you cannot go wrong with any of their music you choose.

yes, they are that good! and well noticed: singer asami came from R&B, she had no idea of metal before the foundation of lovebites in 2016. and two years later 2018, lovebites won metal hammers gold award for best new band. played wacken 2018 as first all female band. singer asami must have compressed air cylinders as lungs. and "stone face" guitarist miyako is a musical prodigy. the whole band is something else. quick edit: sorry, I forgot. great reaction. thank you.

You found the international queens of metal. It’s not death metal, the genre of their styles goes from power metal to thrash. I suggest that you react to their song “Glory To The World”.
@marting.h.94173 жыл бұрын
Well it seems that you three have been severely lovebitten, too. Thanks so much for your analysis. Welcome to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and exceptional musicians. They have influences from Iron Maiden, Slayer, Metallica, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, Dragonforce, Helloween, and even Gary Moore but they have been developing their unique style. Some people say that they are redefining metal. It’s recommended to react to their live performances because they really shine at it, except “Bloodstuck” (bad audio). They performed at Wacken Open Air, Germany, in 2018. This band formed in 2016. Yes, those twin lead guitar solos are already legendary. My next recommendation is “Thunder vengeance” (concert “Five of a kind, Zepp Divercity, Tokyo, 2020”) or “Hammer of wrath” (same concert). By the way, they toured The UK with Dragonforce in 2019 and they are good friends. Lineup: Haruna - Drums Miho - Bass (unfortunately she recently left the band) Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals Asami - Lead vocals, some piano

I like your reaction and response to this performance of LOVEBITES. Seem's genuine and yeah I agree, that performance tends to give you goosebumps. 😊 LOVEBITES main sound and style is heavily based on New Wave of British Heavy Metal (mostly classic / old school heavy metal) mixed with a lot of power metal, prog. - influences, thrash metal, speed metal, and so on however they don't do death metal or even metal core as of yet. Their awesome vocalist Asami doesn't do screams and growls, she favors clean vocals and IMHO she does it very very very well specially considering that the lyrics of their songs are in English. She is very well liked among the wolfpack ( LOVEBITES fans ) even though her roots aren't exactly in Heavy Metal. All of them are great and they always deliver great performances. Thank you for showcasing LOVEBITES on your channel. 🤘🐺🐺🐺🐺

Excellent reaction. "It's not freeze frame." I can tell all three of you were just mesmerized by the band. I love the explanation of having confidence to hit high notes and how lack of confidence tightens the muscles. This opening is a Slayer/Metallica/Megadeth syle opening. Absolutely badass. Asami is a trained R&B and soul singer like Aretha Franklin and Alicia Keys (two of her idols). I compare her to power metal singers like Tarja Turunen (Nightwish) and Jocaim Cans (Hammerfall). Not only does she really hit those long high notes, she also has a power up at the end of a high note that goes even higher in pitch. And yeah. That Drummer Haruna. I know you will watch more of their live performances. Check out Swan Song with the piano intro and Holy War.

*This is not a freeze frame * 😂😂😂😂 Their base sound is power metal with NWOBHM elements but they also mix in thrash (like this song), prog, neoclassical, outright classical music… ALL of them are multi-instrumentalists. With the girl on stage right, (Miyako),with the Dean guitar being their main composer and her main instrument is basically piano. She is classically trained pianist that took in guitar when she was about 18. Asami, as others have said, literally found out about metal music when she joined the band. She has an R&B/Soul/Jazz/rock background. Haruna, the drummer plays from when she was 14 years old and her favorite band is Helloween. She was a member of another band with the bassist, before she with Miho, the bassist created this band. She is a co-founder and VERY respected and loved and adored. She is the little big engine of the band. Midori left a prestigious pharmacy school to become musician and she is the most technically proficient in the guitar, she is literally a guitar geek through and though. Her and Miyako in my opinion are the BEST guitar duo in heavy metal in probably decades. Miho , the bassist is the co-founder of the band and she provided the vision and direction and style. Unfortunately she is no longer in the band. This concert was the last with footage of her live with the band. Great reaction, I hope you will continue the magical journey to the world of Lovebites. The thing that I love about this band is that they said 'not only are we influenced by Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Helloween, but we also want that energy and speed of the Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax', and they even push themselves towards DragonForce levels of intensity and guitar gymnastics! They didn't have to do that, and then their foundation is an R&B singer, and classical music, with the beautiful dresses and high heels... To me it's just several levels above everyone else, even though the comparison may be unfair.

Welcome to the Wolfpack my guys! Great reactions all around! Quick band lesson - Asami (The One And Only Voice, vocalist), Midori (Crazy Shredder, blond hair guitarist) Miyako (The Golden Touch, black hair guitarist/pianist) Haruna (Little Big Engine, drummer. I would argue top 5 drummer anywhere in the world. So good.) and Miho (Natural Born Headbanger, former bassist. She left the band a few months ago for personal reasons, we wish her nothing but the best for the future). They are Lovebites, one of the world's best metal bands, criminally underated and just a special group of people. They play a mix of power/thrash/speed metal, inspired by the pioneers of the 80's with all the best parts of old and new, often with messages of positivity and overcoming adversity. We, the fans, are the Wolfpack. I hope you'll consider doing more from them, because they have so much more to show you. With you guys being vocal centric, I would whole heartedly recommend 'Edge Of The World' live at zepp. Just outstanding from all involved. Sorry for the long comment, but I hope it helps and hope to see some more from you guys! Peace, Love and Metal guys! 🤟
