had all those same smiles when I heard this band....most amazing power metal in 20 years, I now have bought all 3 of their albums and it's the happiest I've been in a decade...lmao. Phenomenal band.

BAND MAID - Japanese all female hard rock band. Probably the best of that kind. From the point of view of every adjective. Start from "YOLO" and "Secret my Lips" - live. Then "Dice".

Lol... That smile when Midori and Miyako began dueling....

WARNING! CAUTION! DANGER! Japanese girl bands are the most addictive music on the earth. "Shadowmaker" is a killer song with awesome guitar solos. And they are not the only ones. There are a bunch of all female J-metal bands as badass as Lovebites. Aldious is a very good example, with "Dominator" (search the full version), "Sweet Temptation" or "We are".

Addictive is an understatement. I have a stack of CD's to prove it. I blame it on Babymetal for my addiction.

No Kidding. First music I've bought in decades was Band-Maid but a few months ago. I've gone down the Rabbit hole so far now I have no way to get back!
@HorrorMetalMaestroRedrusty665 жыл бұрын
just hard to find those who sing in elnglish or release english albums, love bites and aldious is another. i'm addicted as well and hunting high and low for one singing in english to collect.
@MrTdg21125 жыл бұрын
@@HorrorMetalMaestroRedrusty66 Have you listened to Band-Maid. They prove that English centered lyrics aren't necessary. They pretty liberally sprinkle English phrases in the chorus, and always name their songs in English, but the music is so catchy you soon realize that if it was in English you'd probably not notice. (if you know of Aldious and Lovebites I'm pretty sure you already have heard Band-Maid, but if not, I recomend "Play" to best demonstrate my point- kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5bMep2rlNlkepo)

@@HorrorMetalMaestroRedrusty66 Or check out Asterism. Instrumental mostly. One of their mini albums had a cover of Guerilla Radio with Maki Oyama doing the English vocals. Oyama has a project you might be interesed in as well: facebook.com/eastmeetswestproject/ Hopefully it will bear fruit soon.

Band maid. " Don't let me down" is my personal favorite, but these girls haven't made a bad song. 1st band in 20 yrs that I can listen to the entire catalog, and not skip a track.

Fantastic band, I've seen them live 4 times in the last few years as they're touring a lot, twice in 2017 and twice in 2018. They played Bloodstock Open Air in August of 2018, they were supposed to be playing the second stage but Suicidal Tendancies plane got delayed and Lovebites were given Suicidal Tendancies spot on the main stage and totally nailed it. Some other tracks from the Japanese scene you might like: Band | Track | Genre * Galneryus | Destiny | Power Metal * Bridear | Light in the Dark | Heavy Metal * Unlucky Morpheus | Black Pentagram | Power Metal/Speed Metal * Lightbringer | Resistance | Power Metal * DOLL$BOXX | Loud Twin Stars | Electro/Pop/Metal-ish (kinda weird, if you only like straight-ahead metal probably not for you, but interesting if you have more eclectic tastes)

Japanese female musicians have been killing it the past few years. I’m gonna go with some more ‘reactable’ vids tho This official live clip is even more ‘metal’, Bridear - “Scream” kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6jTaYWBgZ6Fr7s And less metal but extreme talent on their instruments, check this group, Doll$Boxx - “Take My Chance” kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6aVq2eLm56HncU @ItsArchie : I love that you put Fuki 3 out of 5! And I’ve definitely used the word ‘metalish’ to describe Doll$Boxx & co ;)

Lovebites - great band, check out their albums and EPs. Their latest album "Clockwork Immortality" has a special edition version with a live dvd (or blu-ray) concert. Awesome stuff, but expensive as it's only available in Japan. Other bands you might find of interest are Fate Gear (Headless Goddess is the latest track) and Mary's Blood (Marionette is a favourite.) Both they and Lovebites are formed from former members of Destrose.

For some reason it would seem Japanese women spend most of their time practicing guitar. Technical proficiency is on display all over the place with the new crop of Japanese bands. Great! Metal isn't melodic enough for me to get too excited about, but their skills are undoubtable...I can appreciate that.

You were smiling a lot............lol They are good musicians and she has a good voice. They are good eye candy too! :-) I just want to warn you that the Japanese bands have a tendency of getting copyright strikes slapped on the reactors. They don't do it right away. You will go a long for a while and then all of a sudden they slap you with a strike or strikes out of the blue............
@jones199685 жыл бұрын
I hope thats not the case here . They sigbed with napalm so hopefully they afe not as nasty with free promotions as most japanese labels...lol correction nuclear blast

If you like something with a bit of a punk rock Japanese style element in an all female band, give "Brats" a try. "Kamirigoto" is a good one. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoS7l31-iqp-oKs
Sorry. IMO Band-Maid is a far better band in just about every respect. Band-Maid will either remain a top five Japanese rock band or they will grow, move to LA and sign with Sony on their way to the world's greatest rock band. Band-Maid is the only group today that matters to me. They are head and shoulders above all the other corporate arranged crap out there. Viva Band-Maid. Sacramento loves Band-Maid and so do l.
