Not so sure why people fear so much to be in an official relationship these days. If it doesn’t work out, it’s not the end of the world, but if you like someone enough to be exclusive with them and want to be around them all the time, then why not? It seems that people want to have their cake and eat it too, but that’s not how human relationships work.

Everyone cares now more than ever before how they are viewed by people. People either don’t want to get “played” and not being in a relationship gives them that out where they can pretend they aren’t hurt, even if they are. Or they want to still have the option to be with other people without being viewed as a bad person, due to selfishness/greed. They want the benefits of a relationship with someone, without the responsibility that comes with being in one.

This is a classic anxious avoidant pairing. They’re both uncomfortable with being vulnerable in their own ways. They seem to be in a similar place in term of emotional maturity. I don’t think they’ll last but hopefully they’ll learn from this relationship

Anxious and avoidant are different types of attachment. There is no such thing "anxious avoidant". But i agree on one thing. I can't stop thinking about this episode. This one made me emotional for so many different reasons. They seem like they're passionate about each other. I knew as soon as she walked on that she wanted something more, but that she was trying to suppress her feelings. From what I can tell, which is a miniscule amount, they seem to be together. I think they'll always love each other and have a special place in the others' lives and hearts... I don't, however, think they are the others "person" so to say. Soulmates perhaps, but in a way that they'll both move on and move forward in their lives at some point... perhaps even a similar 500 days of summer type scenario. That's what I gather. Not that it matters, I'm just a passersby! I wish them both the best. These are some wonderful individuals.
@becca534448 ай бұрын
This reminds me so much of the last guy I liked. We flirted all the time, he seemed to reciprocate, but then backed off at the last minute saying he wasn’t ready for a relationship. Looking back, I think he realized he wasn’t mature and emotionally available enough to be what I wanted. And he was totally correct. At the time I was devastated about it, but now I’m grateful. I hope these two work out, but if they don’t they’ll have learned a lot of important things about themselves and relationships.
@dericmederos15148 ай бұрын
what' does emotionally available mean? I'm scared my last relationship didn't work because that was said to me
@anyadarlingg8 ай бұрын
@dericmederos1514 I would look up psychology videos about the topic. Emotional availability tends to overlap with having high Emotional Intelligence (EQ). Being aware of what you are feeling yourself, and being aware of how others feel, and how you make others feel. This is step one to being emotionally available. Acting on it is when you meet the emotional needs of the other person. It can be with platonic friends and family as well. But it also includes being emotionally vulnerable yourself, not being afraid to express how you feel, or cry, or comfort the other person (instead of caring about your own feelings/ego, or being "right"). Being a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen to- but also if you are having issues with someone, being able to voice it in a healthy manner and work the conflict with someone, rather than letting it build up. You need a good outlet for your emotions so you don't project them on people around you. Been with the same person since middle school and now in our mid twenties. This I think it a key factor to why we have worked out for so long. Hope this helps. Wish you the best ♡

Everything they are going through and the fact they talk out and work through what they’re feeling is far beyond the level of friendship. 6 hours in a car in tears expressing your fear of not being able to get relationship expectations and telling you that her life is better with you in it. Take the leap already! It’s not even a leap of faith at this point you’ve done all the work to shrink that scary leap of faith with all that fear of the unknown down to you two holding hand while you step off a curb! WHENS THE WEDDING! We better all get an invite! ❤

11:01 To answer his question : the saying "what goes up must go down" is a saying about the ancient belief of the Wheel of Fortuna (Roya Fortunae). The Wheel of Fortuna symbolize the fact that destiny is a tricky thing. When you're up on the wheel, there's always a time where you go back down (just like a real wheel) and then you go up again but you never know when it'll happen. That's why they say it.
