I’m a psych major so I love how occupational therapy incorporates cognition into rehabilitative care. I also love how creative you can get with your sessions making anything out of anything to simulate daily activities that patients would perform at home. Not to mention how OT celebrates achieving small goals making the overall goal attainable and rewarding. Becoming an OT is a dream of mine that I’m trying so hard to pursue!

I love OT because of how versatile it is. The diversity in population and environments you can work in/with is so awesome to me. I am a very empathetic person and I’ve always been super healthy and athletic as well. I think to be able to help other people live as blessed of a lives as I’ve been able to live is just about the greatest thing I can do😊

Great video as always. I want to be an OT because it will give me happiness knowing I can help someone heal with the form of therapy. I have always wanted a healthcare career, but wasn't sure what I wanted, until I found your videos. I did more research and I will like to be an OT because I will love to see the smile on someone's face after they have healed. Just praying to complete the preqs and get accepted into the program for school in 2020. Amen

This was so helpful! I’m in my first year of my Masters and some of these interventions I haven’t seen yet, but I’m sure they’ll come in handy at my first placement this summer. For me, the thing I’m liking most about OT right now is working with chronic conditions! I had never considered it an area of interest until this semester and so far I love all the different areas OTs can be involved.

I want to be an OT because I feel like it's my calling. I always knew that I wanted to help people intimately and admire how this career uses both psychology and physical rehabilitation. Not to mention, this career is very innovative and I like to brainstorm new ways to accomplish goals! It would be my honor to be a patient's cheerleader and I feel that being an OT gives me the best opportunity to do that.
