I had my own Renault conversion that I loved and lived in full time for 3 years, I've just had to put it back to a van and give it away as a gift to my nephew as I live in London and the ULEZ was killing me, I now have a 2021 ford transit Luton that I'm converting, sod it go big! 🤘

It was one-owned from new by a self-employed electrician. He looked after it. It's absolutely mint. I had one as a hire vehicle in 2013 and was amazed at the car-like handling and performance. Will cruise effortlessly on the motorway and will top a ton (on a private test track). A bit different from the 2.5 litre, non-turbodiesel 1998 Transit I had, which was like a three legged donkey.

i converted a 2015 Vauxhall vivaro into a stealth camping van. Love my van, ideal for me. None of the worries of parking a large campervan and sticking out like a sore thumb. Great you have gone back to a small van build.

Top tip. That spray adhesive is exactly the same as the spray Carpet fitters use. Go to a wholesalers and buy a box.

My vivaro has 2 windows in the back doors and in the side door and opposite. Those 2 slide open as well so plenty of ventilation. Great video Shaun.

I started watching your channel when I got my vivaro, used it a lot to guide me in that process! Great vans the Viv / traffic range, don’t rust as much as transits and don’t have the VW tax. Also bigger space inside than others cause it’s more of a box !

Hi Shaun, always great to see a new build with your tips and info. Remember the plan I had for your lovely van? Things have moved on much quicker than expected and it will be going to my bestie shortly having upgraded the insulation, a rejig in layout and adding some extras (I’m sure you’ll get an update in due course). My friend is desperate to get her hands on the Vivaro to pamper her even more and start a new set of adventures. I’ve just bought a silver lwb Trafic in a very similar condition to this one and about to start the conversion swapping between vans based on job and the delightful Cornish summer weather!

If you're reboarding the floor of a van that has been done previously, use the old floor as a template to cut out the new boarding. Also gives you the opportunity to straighten up any wonky lines. Try and reuse as many of the old fixing points as possible, as long as they're not stripped out, to avoid drilling any more holes, and/or leaving any old holes open to atmosphere.

I spray painted my plastic panels and put a mesh at the bottom where it's curved in. My internal van build came to around 500 quid..Full length bed. Welsh dresser split into 2 worked a treat for bottom cupboard and drawers and top half a shelving area behind front seats

Make sure you use the right masks too. Cheap disposable cloth/paper masks are fine for sanding and grinding, but make sure you have at least FFP2/N95 for solvents or paint.
