No amount of money can make you feel the sense of achievement at building and designing something. I use to own a small cocktail bar and I worked with a builder to re design my bar with exposed red brick and wood used with specially designed lights to enhance the look. My customers were blown away by the finished product it made me feel very proud with all the hard work late nights blood sweat a tears we had put in. Looking good so far 👍

Cutting the floor panels is a pain in the ass but at least when you put the vinyl down it will cover the imperfections. Just done the a pillow on van removed seat belt and trims an carpeted it as you say the little things make all the difference. Keep on building 👍👏👍👍

You're doing a grand job Shaun. Thinking about what you're doing, and taking your time doing something properly and precisely is the best plan of action. That way your less likely in the future to turnaround and think, I forgot to do this, or I wish I'd done that differently.

Hey Man ! Stumbled across your videos the other day and have been binge watching since. I came to Cornwall the first week of the summer holidays in my Van and it was a bit of a disaster! Everywhere you went there was nowhere to park so after a couple of days I came back home . But watching your videos has made me realise there's so much I haven't seen or done yet . My Dad moved to Falmouth 20 years ago so I have him to thank as I would visit to see him and Cornwall , sadly he's no longer around but I always feel closer to him when I visit Cornwall . Your videos have made me want to come back and explore more . Keep doing what you're doing as you are doing something amazing .

On the stealth camping point? Is it not worth getting a magnetic sign for side of van or over any windows on van on outside. On sign it could say "paper recycling specialists" with a fake phone number. This way people whould think it's work van, won't Rob as think it's full of paper, and you can just peel off and On as when you need to. Sticker on back " no tools left overnight" . I've never seen this done but think it's an crafty excellent idea if I do say so myself lol.

Was the spare wheel stowed in the van originally? If so. Consider a mount for the rear door to maximise internal space
@LoveSundays Жыл бұрын
There’s a mount underneath the van between the back wheels for the wheel to be mounted when I got the van though it was just in the back
@davyfella Жыл бұрын
@@LoveSundays chuck a pair of potable water and grey water tanks under the floor where the spare wheel was. Adding 100kgs down there of weight will help take the bounciness out of the rear suspension. Remember, the springs are designed to carry a good few tonne and you are going to be driving around with it close to being unladen

It's looking good. Cutting relatively thick material freehand with a jigsaw is never easy and even using a guide rarely eliminates errors in cutting. The old floor may have been rough around the edges, but the cutting technique would have just accentuated that. It's hard to get this kind of thing right for casual users of jigsaws in fairness.
