The entire relationship was a chaos squared, with water pistol fights inside the house, no set sleeping times or places and military campaigns starting and finishing with the most passionate expressions of love. He really brights up the room, winning everyone's heart; and while people starts getting comfortable in his presence, he decided if he wants to keep the good vibe or make things go turbulent. A lot of times when I go out with my friends to a party or something. they'll find me speaking with a bunch of strangers just having a great time. I will say that one thing you didn't touch on that is difficult for me as an ESTP to make a deep connection with someone. Whether that be with friendship or romantic relationships. It could be that I meet someone who is initially charmed by my personality, I then move on to the next thing rather quickly and will most likely never speak to them again. It could also be how I struggle to understand emotions and that of other's, I'm not entirely sure.

@@Beyou0120 He doesn't date much (or simply hasn't told me about any) so I honestly could not tell you what his type is. However, he is able to become friends with just about anyone if they are up for a good time. He also has a habit of adopting introverts. I don't know your crush, what kind of person they are or what their specific values are, but if they are ESTP, then yeah I can see one there being room for them to be interested in INFPs. With my brother, he values honesty and authenticity, becoming annoyed when he notices people lying to him needlessly because that takes up his valuable time. He likes being suprised, especially if the person does something interesting he wasn't expecting. He enjoys people willing to be silly, the more doing it at once, the better. His big weak spot though is emotional reactions. He assumes far too often that people can tell when he's joking so, growing up, he was frequently caught off guard when people assumed the worst of him and his actions. He also forgot that not everyone had the same life experiences. Best example I can think of is that, when we were kids, he was often teasing me or pulling pranks on me like he would our brother or his friends but because I was bullied in school (unlike him), I saw it as targeted attacks and it made me kind of afraid of him. To him, it was a fun bonding thing and he somehow got the wrong idea I was a lot tougher than I actually was. It always seemed to genuinely confuse and/or upset him when I would either cry or get angry. The realization he got later in life when it finally dawned on him what was going on actually seemed to depress him a bit. He's not intentionally malicious, he just struggles with bigger picture things, especially if they are emotion related. Sorry if this is a bit rambly. Hope this helps a little.

As an INFP, I find myself attracted to Se-doms quite often. I admire their ability to be so in the moment and active, which I definitely struggle with seeing as I have Blind Spot Se. Like you said, they always have an impact. Reading what ESTPs have to say about Fi doms like me, it seems they definitely shy away from the analysis of emotions and values, which makes lots of sense for Blind Spot Fi. I've also seen that Parent Ne can get overwhelming for them. For me, too much activity and focus on the physical isn't natural for me, and can be pretty overwhelming; I need time to simply exist to recharge, partly due to my neurodivergency. I like to take things at a slower pace, which can easily conflict with a Se dom's natural rhythm. With each other's dominant functions as the other's blind spot, this can make communication and bonding a challenge-but also very rewarding, and a learning experience for both people involved, If they are willing to put in the effort.

I know I may get hate for trying to type my 2 year old, but make sure your a parent first before you judge ;) The reason I believe she is estp is how amazing she is at adapting and taking control of her environment but she also has a hard time sitting and focusing. She lives on reaction! She will bite anyone with a reaction. She is actually very physical and can be quite a bully. But I know it's because she thinks the reactions of other kids are funny. But she amazes me with how fast she seems to learn with how hyper she is. My oldest at 2 was a very calm baby and would spend hours looking at books and drawing. She never hit or bite me or anyone! In fact, if there was a group of kids she was too shy. I can go on and on as most parents can about their children lol. But, I truly believe personality can be determined as children.

One interesting observation I found myself is how drastic personality can fluctuate during different stages of life. As a kid I was a major book worm, spent hours playing with figures, building stuff, drawing etc. then as soon as puberty hit I became the exact opposite, onlyt ofind myself back over the course of like 6 years. Now I'm probably as nerdy again as I was as a kid, mixed with a small fraction of that "phase" or perhaps development I had as a teen

He buys things with advance planning: who he will share with as a buddy, who he will share with to gain favor, who he will share with to reward, and who he will sell to in order to make a deal. He bursts on the scene in every situation in his vicinity. He cannot stand to be alone. He knows no strangers and loves to rally a team to get a job done, yet will gleefully play the protagonists to expose and weed out the weaklings. He will then feel sorry for the one he has humiliated and try to help them. I have to remind myself each day that he has to learn by action and hands on. And no he is not thinking before he dive bombs people, places, objects, and situations, acrobatically leaping, or immediately doing whatever he sees. But this is his learning style I again remind myself. I cringe and hold my breath constantly wondering what reaction will be unleashed on a moment to moment basis from random people, objects, and situations. I tell myself there is allot I can learn from him. And then see him do and say things for shock value and I shrink in embarrassment or scowl in indignation. Then there's the times we just cuddle after he is finally worn out, physically, not mentally, and I remember he just wants to have fun. And win. And that tommorow is a new day. I'm an ENTP and I've been a bit of a shooting star with no direction for most of my life. And I have an ESTP mate who's a bit older than me. He's had his own business for years and I've watched him grow it and he turns over millions of pounds now. He's exactly as you've described an ESTP to be in this video and in another video - and he's similar to me in a lot of ways - Very extroverted, charming, analytical, logical, chaotic and very argumentative. But there's a key difference between us. He wants quick results in anything he does and only ever considers the here and now with everything. Where as I like to plan, prepare and consider the future possibilities so I take more time to come to a decision. Therefore we've clashed in regards to this in the past. Also, I've got a bit of a trickster type personality in me but it's harmless, my pointing out of people's contradictions or irrational perspectives aren't directly offensive and I only tend to hit people with their contradictions or logical falicies. Where as he not only does this but he tends to insult people with really nasty observations about their personal character or their physical characteristics, which is too much for even me to tolerate tbh. I like him sometimes and at other times, I fuckin hate him because he's being an utter arse hole.

I think both ENTPs and ESTPs will receive this insult at least once in their life of being an arse hole 😂. I guess this secondary Ti + tertiary Fe makes you very at ease with people and argumentative. You guys sadly usually give a bad rep to Fe users cause I feel like Tertiary Fe is really different. It's more used as a tool but not so authentically in a compassionate way. This creates a weird behavior of confident because of Ne/Se, but charming unsensitive arse holes. I think INTPs are more concerned about getting to the truth without wanting to look entertaining first or anything so people can take the criticizm more fairly while ExTPs just sound like they criticized you and mock you to no end, which is simply a despicable behavior let's be honest because people do care. I think criticizms and fun should just be disconnected cause the thing is it usually just comes off as incredibly disrespectful. I think that's just the reason why ExTPs are often rejected in social situations.

I really dig that last bit, that gem actually. Where you say everyone thinks an estp is "logical" though its actually "reason" they are confusing for the former. My type (estp) of day can be dominated by making decisions on my feelings one day and the next even be given to logic. Its the reason that matters in the end. Getting from point "A" to "B" and what it requires from the present moment dictates a lot to me

Great insights! I’m wondering if the animal stack would affect how Se is perceived. I definitely see what you mean about ESTPs having this sort of power that affects the room. I believe my husband has high blast/play. Quick story to use as an example --> my husband and I went out to eat last night and saw another couple that we occasionally hang out with. He sat down at their table and started chatting them up. Then, we walked over to the bar and my husband started speaking very loudly to the owner with small talk (asking about how his holidays were, how business has been, etc.). Then asks if he can change one of the dishes on the menu to be something he’d rather have. Of course, the owner will change things for him because he is a paying customer. My husband then starts yelling over to the couple we know seeing what they have planned this weekend. He asks if they’re available on Sunday to have a game night. At this point, I’m super annoyed because to me it feels like he’s forcing people to do things they may not want to do but agree to in the moment because they don’t have a good excuse. Being that I have play and blast low, I think I avoid these types of situations. I don’t like forcing anything. I prefer people to come to me. I think it’s so interesting how some of us “extroverts” can be shy/withdrawn. Lol. And vice versa.

At 50 and a very busy life (now stuck at home after surgery to the knee- an horror for me),I came to this video while searching: "trying to solve problems all the time" and "overthinking about concepts and situations"...like my brain never stops trying to figure out why we are living and how we can improve the world...but also making lists of my own concepts of life. My job was counsellor for people starting their own business, then I had my own business too. I tried at least 10 business ideas and got bored each time just after starting it. I always have problems because I tell people 'the truth", even in my job. Changing is what I want to do all the time. I like to be the center of attention but with age, it tends to be more in small groups or with clients. I like to finish sentences of people in my head in advance and I am always right. I also spend a lot of time looking at animals and trying to figure out what they are thinking (I am sure they are). When I was a child, I was so overthinking that I could even faint from it. I guess I am not crazy, just an ESTP. Moins

I think Sherlock Holmes is a universally-known character. I’m 46, and I ravenously read all the SH books at my school library because I was drawn to the problem-solving. I remember wishing there were MORE to read-I think it was one of the few mentally-stimulating things to do in my life in 1985 (and it had to be free for me to have access to it), having come from a family of Sensors who just zoned out everyday on bad TV (and back then, it was a paltry selection of just VHF & UHF channels). At school, I was placed in the lowest track, where my classmates only wanted to socialize w/ one another. It was like being in a room full of headless chickens. Those books and that character (along w/ Watson) set such a high bar that I was bored by Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys books, which were supposedly also good.

My ESTP father was very smart and used his entire cognitive function stack quiver in a pretty deadly manner. @@Peonies925 I meant that figuratively, but he was known to have a lot of conquests, if you know what I mean, both male and female. Plus, although I wouldn't call him the life of anything, he was often the center of attention at social gatherings. Strangers sometimes comment on the impact of his presence. He had well developed Ni for an ESTP, and it was fairly balanced with his Se. When he wanted to, he could be extremely present and engaging, even charming. He can focus very intently on another person, but this focus can go from what seems like a warm glow to a predatory stare in almost an instant. Then you may find out what he's really made of, which is bitterness, fear, and cruelty. Once he gets into a cruel mindset, he is obsessive and relentless. ESTP here. I've typed as ESTP most consistently in my life. During life phases it's changed for short amounts of time; I've gotten ISTP during my angsty teen years, and ENTJ while really getting my shit together and making a plan. I'm super drawn to stimulation whether physical or mental. I left home after turning 18 hitchhiking west. I'm usually physically active, and I'm deep into study of linguistics/epistemology/theoretical quantum physics/cognitive science/human & planetery evolution. I'm currently canvassing remotely for several progressive senators/representatives. I've done a lot of door to door, and citizen lobbying. Didn't go to a college because the internet is free (perks of being an internet native). Worked at a marketing firm when I was 19, and have been running crews of community organizers since i turned 21. I was born 4/98. I've always loved other ESTPs, wild people who enjoy a meaningful, and stimulating life.

Female INTJ here married (and divorced) an older ESTP. Probably why the recently trained mbti coach suggested that we get typed. It really explained our lack of communication. Yep, he made a physical impact, had superficial charm, was highly observant which he used to manipulate people. He didn't settle down until late in life, he loved chaos, drinking, was great at making deals wo keeping any paperwork. He liked to "wing it" which was often frustrating., I managed & organized the business & the home & made him look good in society. He would harangue me for being quiet & modest, for not being able to always explain why I made my art the way I did... geez idk. Remember having to defend myself for wanting to nurse our baby in private. "What's wrong with you?" for not breast feeding in front of family & friends. He ridiculed my younger daughter, too. told her she was just like me. (she was later tested as an INTJ). too independent, too quiet & not social enough.

Granted it's not very hard with me but I really didn't need someone actively pushing for it. He always knew what I was insecure about at the time and would make a big display for others to potentially see. I'm really not sure how so many people keep overlooking all the horrible things he's said over the years and still adore him so much. If I said even a fraction of the things he did, I'd never have friends again. What sort of dark magic is this and how do I make it go away? As an ENTP, I am not at all interested in the 'thingness' of external reality. My Introverted Thinking is content with an abstract understanding of the sensory experience. Although I may enjoy the 'ah-hah' moment of sensory discovery, I am never captivated by it. Unlike Sherlock Holmes, who has to take his cocaine trip to find its personal meaning, I am satisfied with the validity of his report. If Homes wants to 'feel the burn', I wish him well and apply my energy to understanding the psychology of risk-taking. These Extroverted Perceiving functions make no 'apriori' judgments that limit the scope of the inquiry, but the subjective nature of the Introverted Thinking makes utilitarian demands for effectiveness and efficiency that no Feeling nature can.

I sadly have no ESTPs close to me but I feel like I'd feel most comfortable and flourish and get spurred into action... I think we'd make a good team as I'm an INTP with endless ideas but difficulty getting an impulse to put them into action (but when it happens everyone has a great time lol)... Any advice from ESTPs here on how to approach you best? And whether you think I could have something to offer you as an INTP?

@@FNAF_420 Figured it out lol. I'm an ISTP. I figured out that my dominant function is Ti not Se.

The test show me that I have a 50% split in S and N. So 50% ESTP OR ENTP. However I think I’m more of a ESTP.
