Im assemblying a set of the SSD Diamods with metal tubes f&r, alum Chubs and SSD brass knuckles for a LCG Belly dragger. Lots like the Gspeed. there are a few decent options, but may seem to be based around capra portals. Not sure I want to do the SSD Protals, not that I'v adverse to it. but it would be 250 out the door for the portal kit and metal tubes for the portal (unless the stock metal tubes work which they might then its only the kit at 190.). thinking of using the SSD Scale tranny and new od transfer case to add 20% to the front. have the OD gears in the diffs, (both) and can drop the stock gears in the rear and go up to about 32% OD up front. Or put the stock gears up front and drop to about 12% OD up front. OR get the VP underdrive and go to a 5% up front od, or a 43% if put in the rear axle. Loots of good options but its all gear based." Portal gears can be swapped for od or ud as well. Which is good thinking on SSDs part. Rig looks like it does really well.

@@GSPEEDCHASSIS Why do they go for a that wide chassis? Is there any remarkable performance difference to narrower chassis?
@GSPEEDCHASSIS4 жыл бұрын
Squeezing the chassis rails in, to meet the narrow spacers creates a more rigid frame. Also the narrower spacers creates more room outside of the rails for the shocks.

How can the sidewinder possibly be smoother than the micro x? The esc only controls the voltage and the motor pulls current based off the demands at given voltage levels. This is why your servo test the current rating went up with the voltage used. The sidewinder would have to have higher throttle resolution in order to possibly be smoother. On my mamba monster x the esc resolution allows me to give increments of 0.016v using a single throttle curve point at 50% throttle = 20% power. My puller pro standard 2700kv needs to hit 0.066v to even rotate... which unloaded would equate to 178rpm. With load it will have an even lower rpm. This is called confirmation bias. Someone hears a rumor, that rumor creates bias, and when the individual sees any difference between the two observed samples they attribute that difference to the rumor. Strait from castle, the esc cannot control the amount of current drawn by the motor, which is why you need really good batteries for high power motors because motors like my puller pro r 4100kv, which draws 160amps in my trx6, will suck the life out of lower quality batteries. And when that happens it puts a lot of stress on the esc and can fry it...
@RCReviewChannel4 жыл бұрын
This is just for an out-runner motor which is sensorless.
@bugman724 жыл бұрын
I have run both the Sidewinder Micro 2 and the Mamba Micro X and have replaced all of my Sidewinders with Micro Xs. The Micro X is a much smoother ESC than the Micro 2. I've used both on brushed and brushless motors and the Micro X has much better throttle resolution.

When the first GSPEED Chassis was designed and I was accused of copying BPC, both BPC chassis and the V1 GSPEED, on Facebook to the public, both were placed on a Hobbico cutting mat showing measurements, proving that the rails were different. It's very unfortunate that false rumors like this are carried on by hearsay.
