I had no response on the gas pedal at times while driving. Then the truck would go. Almost felt like no fuel. Naturally I thought maybe a sensor or the fuel pump. But I had the fuel pump changed 2 years prior. So I had a mechanic put a crankshaft sensor in. It seemed fine for 5 miles then did the same thing. Brought the truck back to the shop and after diagnosing the truck all day, the oil was 4 quarts low. I have a 2011 dodge ram 1500 5.7 hemi. I dint understand how my oil light didn’t come on. The truck didn’t overheat either. And my oil pressure was normal. But my mechanic swears that’s what did it. I’m picking up the truck tomorrow after he drives it some more miles to be sure. The check engine light stayed off and he says it’s running great. Is this possible?
