I had no idea Costco sold Tofu. I get a lot of my vegan supplies there but never though to look for Tofu. I love my tofu baked. They do really well in the air fryer also. So rice, tofu and stir-fried veggies is my jam!! I love Dr. Greger's recipes. Yea kids are picky for sure. Remember when we were like that. Now we are just dig in. This is a great, simple recipe for baked tofu. Loved it.

I really love and appreciate you and your family. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and knowledge with us plant-based noobs. So far it is just my husband and I, but we eventually want to bring some plant-based babies into the world. If you have time, could you make a video on how you handle things with your kids? School, friends, events, Halloween, doctors, etc?

House Foods brand tofu is the BEST tofu. I never liked tofu I made at home before I found it. I get it from our local international market, it's cool that you can get it at Costco.

Do you normally have white rice instead of brown rice?
@MadlyinLovewithJesus-19535 жыл бұрын
I used to really dislike brown rice until I learned that most brown rice I ever ate was undercooked! Now I cook it like pasta and it takes a while, but when it gets soft enough is when it is done -- and I love it now! (Same thing with whole wheat pasta -- another thing that was usually undercooked and I hated it until I learned to just keep boiling it until it got nice and soft!)
@NiniGirl5 жыл бұрын
Hi Dina, I eat mostly brown rice. For this meal we really like the white basmati rice. Wednesday is my really, really, REALLY busy day so mostly do a fast meal with white rice since it cooks in 20 min.

Definitely an easy peasy tofu recipe. I recently got an air fryer, have you tried one? Also, you seem to be out of bananas :)
@NiniGirl5 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert! Thank you for noticing:) LOL, I am moving out of state this month and the banana home has moved temporarily. We also got a new puppy and she seems to like to play with them. Now the old banana home has been replaced with the bags of rice till I move. I do not have an air fryer. Isn't that the same as convection oven?

Did you use soft tofu or firm tofu? I'm just learning to experience with it LOL
@NiniGirl5 жыл бұрын
Hi Sandy, I used the Firm tofu:)
@ithildiess90485 жыл бұрын
soft tofu is more for soups. firm is for frying. Like a coconut soup with chili silk tofu/ soft tofu is better.
