Well said sir! Speaking about thrash, myself who stays in a HdB area, almost everyday, will bound to see leftovers plastic bottles, tissues, snacks wrappers, food and even a MASK! It is a very indeed frustration sight! I cant help it so I call our Town Council along with the evidences. Things get alil tad better altho there will be still an inconsiderate ppl in our society! Nevertheless, it was an awesome vid! I have never been to Sisters Island and now I guess its abt time to plan the family outing!😉💯

There's a big lagoon that's exposed when the tide goes out. All the creatures are there. Very easy to see. Just take some sandals to wear as bare feet is a bit risky.

Also agree. On the whole, Singapore is a lot cleaner than most countries which, for me, makes it even worse that people would knowingly leave trash. Sadly it is getting worse since I moved here 4 years ago. Seen so much trash in the nature reserves and parks recently, left over from picnics.

I am a Singaporean, I too feels very sad that some people in Singapore are not civic conscious. I hope our school and family can put more effort to educate our younger generation. NEA must put even more effort to educate the general public on this matter, we must inculcate in everyone the good habit of keeping our public place clean. Immigration Office too must educate all incoming foreign workers on this important matter, as one third of our 5.6 million population are foreign worker.

Very small, about 300m x 100m. There's not much to it in fact, apart from the beach and coral area. I did film quite a bit more, but I had to cut it out during editing for reasons I cannot go into!

At East Coast Park, after the tide receded, sometime the beach is unsightly with trash. We often see volunteer groups or lonesome volunteer picking trash at the beach. Lately it's worse.

I believe the big amount of litters come from passing ships, boats, and perahu/sampans and from rivers/canals in neighbouring countries. Only small portions are originated from our shore

I agree with the rubbish and how people cannot throw their rubbish well. Kind of sad and this is true in alot of countries in the world. One thing to take note... try to wear a proper footwear or thicker ones because there may be chances you will step on a stonefish or sting by other marine animals.

I would respectfully disagree on the "trash in Singapore" point in the Video. Singapore population is by far the best, they almost never leave trash behind them. The video you showed of people leaving is probably one-off rare to find sights in Singapore. You need to understand most Singaporeans do not litter, maybe the exception of the stubborn older folks & juveniles. The littering problem is further compounded with a big population of foreigners. Its a migrant country, the early years of proper social education is undone by these factors.

I don't think the trash on beaches or parks by the sea/lake is uniquely Singapore. I live in Canada, and I see lots of trash that people leave behind on the beach and parks even though there are trash bins easily within reach...and it's at every park lining Lake Ontario, and Lake Ontario is huge if you know your geography. It is pretty disgusting. There is a guy doing a cross Canada walk which he termed Million bottle pledge, picking up million dollars worth of trash bottles and cans on roads and highways for recycling and to bring awareness to how much trash is thrown onto roads and highways. The amount of trash he collected at each stretch of his travel is horrifying.

Just washed ashore is a long chain of seaweeds. This is what really happened...when the port-master from PSA radio-calls the Captain of the ship for 'loading & unloading at between Gate 3 to Gate 5. When the huge anchor of ship is hauled up, stirring what is beneath the ship. Huge chunk of seaweeds and other trashes washed to the shore. It will take another 100 years for Singapore to be civic-minded only through proper education in schools. i dare say 20 percent of the well-educated tax-payers had contributed to the developments of Old Singapore. Just be patient, is Singapore a first world's city?
