This vid just showed up on me channel. Strangely enough I just did this to my obscure BMW. The factory hose is no longer available and I found these at Lowbrow Customs. I ordered the components I needed, two days later they're in my mailbox. 15 minutes in the shed and I have brakes again! Todd knows!

@lowbrowcustoms2 жыл бұрын
You would have to delete the anti lock module completely to by pass it. You could also just do completely new brake lines and use stuff like this Goodridge line. This video from this dude ,kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6PYaYJsZ6aSd5I explains it well not sure if what year you bike is what they all look like etc. But it can be by passed. Biggest thing is you need to make sure you bleed them and test they work before ever going for a ride.

very good video todd. i have a 1971 FLH with a stock rear juice brake (all parts now are stock but not original). will the goodridge parts fit the stock master cylinder and wheel cylinder?
@lowbrowcustoms3 жыл бұрын
You have to check your banjo bolt and banjo fitting sizes and if they are same as what we carry then yes they will work. We have a wide variety of sizes but Not sure off hand what size a 71 rear juice brake has, Best way to find out is measure yours.

Should a little loctite be applied to the male fitting's threads to prevent loosening? Thanks.
@davidpatterson98402 жыл бұрын
For some reason Russel doesn't sell any brake lines with male fittings, while most of the lines I wish to replace have a male on at least one end. So, you end up buying a bunch of adapters and end up with a clusterfck. You can find lines with a banjo on one end, but for some reason the banjo is thinner that the one on the stock line, so you end up using two copper washers on each side. I've also run into a similar problem with their 3/8" banjo brake switch. The threaded section is too long for a motorcycle master cylinder.

About 8 months late to the party here, but great video as always Todd. BUT! It's not as good as your recent sportster Saturday front fork fiasco! Made me spit out my coffee. Lmas. Anyway I fashioned a cool bleeder system with my hvac vacuum pump. Kinda like you described, using 2 hoses running to a "catch can" if you will, one hose submerged in the fluid the other up high above fluid level. Worked. Like Russell speed bleeders to. Btw have you ever used Russell pro system ll nylon lines and fittings? The ones with the ferrel type compression (olives) fittings??. Just wondering as I am considering them. Sorry for the long winded rant. Thanks again for what you guys do

@lowbrowcustoms3 жыл бұрын
You should be abled to remove a few screws in the back if the speedo mount, remove and unplug speedo from wiring harness with one plug, remove backing of speedo and take ring off, then replace gasket, and rubber and put back together. pretty straight forward job.

You can bleed them but your systems is going to error, it's best to go to a shop that has the computer and can do it right. Annoying but better to be safe with the one thing that stops you... @lowbrowcustoms3 жыл бұрын
still waiting on them to come back available but will have soon. Yes you need a splitter to do dual disc
@bushratbeachbum3 жыл бұрын
You can get a double banjo bolt for the master cylinder and run two lines from it. Or you can put the double bolt on one of the calipers and run a link line to the other one. Hydraulics balance out so both calipers get the same pressure however you plumb it up
