FINALLY, the video I’ve been waiting for! I’m going to see which of these items are at Trader Joe’s the next time I’m there!! Also, doing the math, that Waldorf Salad would have 24.5 grams of net carbs (9-2 = 7 x 3.4 = 24.5 g) for the whole salad. I’d suggest maybe using half of the dressing or substituting it for a lower carb option because that salad does look great!! 😋

I was told that Trader Joe‘s is the second Aldi Brother (Aldi Nord). They had to change the name according to US regulations.
@winny47655 ай бұрын
@@proceduralcoffee Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd represent the two brothers who split up because of different marketing strategies. Everywhere else in the world In Germanythe two companies spread under their names but not in the US as the authorities feared consumer misleading. So the second firm had to change the name for the US only. In Germany, Aldi Süd seams to be the more innovational one, although they do not interfere with the regonal bounderies they both had agreed on decades ago.

It always concerns me how accepting consumers are of food made with CANOLA OIL which is highly inflammatory, contributing to the increased number of chronic and life threatening illnesses today. Manufacturers use it bcuz it cheap and the FDA has approved it in the U.S., but it causes havoc on the body. And almost EVERY ITEM discussed in this video HAS CANOLA OIL listed in the ingredients. I do shop at TJ, but more than often find myself interested in an item then reading the ingredients and placing it back on the shelf due to canola oil being listed in the making of the item. ***By the way, the Waldorf Salad indicated a low carb count bcuz that container was for 3.5 Servings.***

I noticed this too. I always read labels and usually put the food or drink back on the shelf too.

Agree. In the past, I used to love purchasing many of the tin fish but now many I put back on the shelf because they use safflower or other toxic processed oils. Only sticking to avocado and extra virgin olive oils here :)

I like Dr. Berg’s because his is the only brand that actually says what kind of salt - Himalayan salt. I feel that the brand doesn’t specify what kind of salt, it will usually just say sodium, you can count on it being a salt that is loaded with microplastic.

I have IIH if I drank 1000mg of sodium I would literally die… but I wish I could flavor my water lol
@Shimmer22775 ай бұрын
Yes... That's way too much sodium. We can easily add sea salt to our diet. Our water too. More importantly, we need a lot more potassium. The average person needs around 4,700 mg of potassium and 2,300 mg of sodium daily. A 2/1 ratio. We need twice as much potassium than sodium. This electrolyte powder is not electrolytes in proper ratios. I add Dr. Bergs electrolyte powder to my water every day. It contains 1,000 mg of potassium and 100 mg of sodium. It's really important to get enough potassium. It balances out the sodium. If I consume too much sodium, I take another scoop of the electrolyte powder. It also has a Trace mineral complex and is sweetened with stevia. And all of his products do not contain maltodextrin, which has a very high glycemic index and raises blood sugar more than sugar. I definitely feel a difference in my body drinking it every day.
