Additional updates since this video was published : Jasion contacted me about a mismatch of battery level displayed on the screen vs. what is displayed on the battery meter, if you have this problem, you can try resetting the reading. Here is a video showing how to do it. drive.google.com/file/d/1Kwg1CrE4Z5T4G4iqWYZknQq3GQLsIaCP/view?usp=sharing drive.google.com/file/d/1ZH4uVNHPEqQKfAujmJ6y2sSQd2P6cooQ/view?usp=drive_link ^^^CODES HERE^^^ If you have the screen shown in this video, these are the codes that should work for this controller. Jasion sent me this set of codes via email support. Push both up and down buttons simultaneously to access these controls. I do not accept any responsibility to any changes you make to your bike! Tinker at your own risk! Most of these changes will have little impact to improve anything with the bike, and making some changes that should not be made can seriously screw up your bike! Good luck!

Some of these cheap ebikes on Amazon is actually good..I bought a cheap folding ebike 3 years ago and put 9k plus miles on it with zero issues..maybe I was lucky cause I know others who bought expensive ebikes and had issues out the box..

Just got this as a first e-bike and put it together. It feels so heavy I’ll probably stick to my tried and true mountain bike, but give this to my wife so she can maintain 15-20 mph to keep up with me. We are trying to have a couple hobby but our paces were so far off from each other. Fingers crossed this’ll do the job. Sounds like it will.

It's definitely a heavy bike when you come from the world of non e-bikes. It's not something I would want to ride around after the battery dies. I rode it about 2 miles with a dead battery...not fun! Other than that, it's been a lot of fun.

Looks like a solid low budget option for a neighborhood bike. Hit the park or dollar general and enjoy short trips around. Also, I don't screw with settings on ebike. They're just fine on the factory settings.

I agree 100%, changing the settings on this bike provides no noticeable advantages. Thanks for watching!

I have the EB5 and I live in WV. I have 184 miles on it and one thing I've noticed is that I'm not so much worried about the battery or motor with hills, but the brakes really. I'm currently plopped in the driveway learning to tighten the brakes bc I use them alot. The manual said 14° grade but I doubt it even does that (motor only). Pedal assist, however, I can go up hill I never thought possible on a bike. Id guess 15-20° seated and 30° standing in a low gear. The speed adjustment ❤hack does work though. It takes 30 seconds. You can adjust the throttle sensitivity and when the motor stops giving power on a certain MPH in every paddle mode. All I did was set the 5th mode to 99. It said 34.7mph with the tire off the ground, but I got it to 32mph on a long straight stretch. It takes a while to get that fast. It's does drain the battery more on the few times at night it's clear enough to actually go 25-28mph through town, but it's rare. It's usually about 22 on a normal day, and you can still start pedaling and jump it up a few mph by peddling. Going 15mph.....pedal a few hard times til it says 25ish, and hit the throttle and it'll stay at the speed on a flat. My only issues 1. is the box on the charger gets 125-130°f charging so I put it by a fan. 2. Most of the bolts were loose from the factory so go over the entire bike thoroughly and tighten everything down to your comfort. The handbar twist, angle, LCD, shifter, brakes and buttons were all lose, so was the handle angle and twist location. There's a bolt on the backside you can't see. The seat too. 3. It didn't come with a separate rechargeable light? It has a red reflector, but no light in the box as it states. Overall, great value for 280 plus free shipping (blue was free, the rest were $180 shipping). I'll update if anything changes.

How do you hack it?
@disturbedlife56914 ай бұрын
@@timrunnels8505 theres instructions on Reddit to change the settings for each model and you have to be very careful because it has voltage and tire size settings. If you mess one up, the system won't work. I've done it too. Google Jasion EB5 max speed. There's KZbin vids too

I am pretty sure I know you. Didn't we speak just a few days ago? Didn't you sharpen a knife of mine once, when we both lived on the same floor at the "El Presidente"? My fellow guitar player - even though yours is backwards? 😁 (Didn't want to use your name, just in case - and my name is not on my profile, so that doesn't confuse you) You're the reason I am watching a video on this bike, in particular. I just got my step through grass hopper green and so far its very good. 1st.. good clear & simple instructions. The brake light was actually on when i unboxed it. Im middle age gal. Did the whole thing myself. Its heavier but very manageable. Im 5.4 and riding/size is absolute perfect. Seat is perfect. Handel's perfectly. Air in tires a big thumbs up. Its kinda pretty. Only thing keep 2 hands on handlebars **. The rear rack is also perfect. Ride every day wish i had one last year. Hats off to designers. Well made. Only thing the mount for display is alittle thin plastic..i would like to fi d something more secure. Otherwise A++++ or 5 star. Box says made i. China... i dont care. Hope usa could build something like this. I. I. Desert so thos is my summer ride.❤❤❤

This bike is absolutely amazing, I got my own April 29th 2024 and already have 650 miles on it. Granted I go to and from work 2.5 miles each way So 5 miles total. And 15 to 20 mi an hour is perfect, I would just like to go faster. Maybe 30 if I can find a place that could split perhaps a more powerful motor?

As I understand it.... The battery should not have any problems running it all the way down. Because, the way they set them up, you may see empty on the display; but, likely still have around 20% actually left - to keep from damaging the battery.

I'm getting a lot of mixed comments on this bike, I'm usually just going to use this bike to ride to school (10 minute ride depending on how fast you go), and I'd say for half the ride, it's uphill. It's not fully uphill, more like a slant going up hill, would this be good to ride to school and to the park where it's flat pavement and a little slant going up hill?

It's got some rubber grommets covering the battery port to a degree, but I wouldn't trust it in a really heavy downpour. Should be ok in light rain

Hello, Idk if you'll see this but I live on a hill and I bike to school every day. Its a tough hill with my Trek mountain bike so I'm looking into getting a cheap e-bike. Do you think this bike would work for that? If not, do you have any recommendations?
@LowDoughTech3 ай бұрын
Some assistance is better than no assistance, but for really tough hills, I would try to aim for a 48V system. This is a 36v system.
