My concern isn't shedding. My concern is the continuous hair miniaturization. I realize that shedding can be a good thing. But when I go to my derm to get hair measured with tools, (its been 1.3 years), my hair continues to miniaturize, which I believe is different than a shed and likely means I'm not responding well to my meds. Would you agree?

Hi! I have a question that I believe that it is interesting for you and have been bothering me for long... I'm taking dutasteride 0.5mg every day for about 2 years and my DHT levels are in the normal range! This, adding to the fact that I didn't notice hair change while taking it, got me thinking if there might be specific polymorphisms that predispose some people to dutasteride resistance... I have one flow on my observation that is that I didn't record my DHT serum levels BEFORE taking dutasteride but again, it is strange that my DHT serum levels are in the healthy range (they are in the middle of the scale). Any thoughts about that?

Is diffused thinners stay long to see results from finasteride ? Because they will wait hair cycle , but the severe cases see results quickly because they will regrow hair directly

I get the sync shedding and regrowing, but why do they have to shed every year around the same months, for me anyways? Do our normal hair shed every year? I don't think so. So why???

Please help me out on this what happens if they put hair grafts where you already have hair still does your old hair get replaced? I regret this decision so much because i didnt realize i could have returned with my the hair possibly as thick as i used to have it in the most important place which is the front middle section which is the place responsible for the main things I had and i think now those pieces got placed with hairs that can get as thick as i used to have while finastride could have brought bak the version of thickness i had in 2016 even if it was the last time it was fine with me it was special and now i think there replaced with the back hairs I still kind ofnhadnthat section more than everything else well than alot of parts just shrunken but long to mask it some well it seems it still had some time left now it think its never returning. So the existing hair die one they put hair grafts where there is still hairs?

Hair fibers usually cover all areas of head, but guy on the picture still has visible bald spot. Why would he cover all of his head with fiber, but not this one spot? It just looks like a regrowth.

Hello please help! So my story is I’m started taking fin at January and stopped the med a month lather due to feeling really anxious and feeling really bad mentally!After one week of stopping i felt normal(I stopped Minox too). So its been April and I decided to apply minox again,and from that day I having really bad anxiety and kinda depression and probably depersonaltion. Does this possible? Or what are your thoughts about the whole pfs thing its possible or just a myth? I cant decide its a anxiety disorder or its from the “minoxidil crash”? Its important to mention that i Havent dealt with any mental health issues in my life,Im only 20yrs old. If you could give your contact options i would appreciate it! thanks

Sounds more like an anxiety disorder brother. The biggest thing that points that out to me, aside from your past with mental health issues, is you suggesting it's possibly from getting off Minoxidil or a "minoxidil crash". Understanding the biomchemistry and mechanisms I can pretty much assure you it is not the Minoxidil. Anything is possible, but Minox just doesn't work that way at all. I have a history with severe generalized anxiety disorder and Dutasteride (Fin's stronger older brother) did indeed give me depersonalization and increased anxiety, as well as fatigue, I titrated up though from .50 MG pills once a week, to eventually twice a week, to eventually 3x a week etc. Still had symptoms, but they passed around the 2-3 month mark. Peaked around 4-6 weeks. Then slowly got better. You are altering hormones related to brain chemistry and having your brain take different pathways with 5-ARI inhibits, so it makes complete sense to have some type of symptoms adjusting to the medication before it reaches a state of homeostatis. Titrate up as slow as you need. Some people can just hop right on this ish. I couldn't. Tried the first time and absolutely had depersonalization and increased anxiety that was not placebo. Ironically, my major is neuroscience and I work in the field. I took my own time and it took me 2 months to get .50mg twice a day and 6 months to get to .50mg three times a day. Slow and steady for me. I thought of it as the opposite of titrating/tapering off an anti-depressant. Have some decreased libido and a little erectile issues, but with each passing month it lessens.

Since i never had these issues before these meds I dont know what to do! You told me you had the same problems but you kept taking the dut,since our story are different its really bad.
