Interesting games. Very cool series of games, however both players are typing constantly in the in-game chat. This is not something that we usually see at this level in StarCraft 2. Are they bm-ing each other?

Korean Translation Korean as a language is extremely contingent on cultural context if you're non-korean its difficult to pick up on nuances and context. Its general banter not drama. You deserve my thumbup; here are my complements. Note: 개 is either 1. a dog, or 2. a light swearing prefix 언재정신차릴래?: 언재 (typo of 언제, when) + 정신차리다 (bring one's senses, be awake) = When do you come to yourself? 얌생이빌드하네: 얌생이 means shoplifting but in this context it barely translates into shenanigans, thus this means "You're trying cheesy builds." 우관개맞춤하네: 우관 (우주 관문, Stargate) + 개 (swear) + 맞춤 (probable misuse of 맞힘, to guess right) + 하네 ((someone) does something) = "Damn you predicted my Stargate tech" In this context I do not understand this sentence since I am a complete noob to SC2. Trap is either trying Stargate tech, or faking Inno to hide Dark Templar tech. 역시 개보록맨: 보록 is a typo of 뽀록 which is "pure luck", 맨 is a transliteration of "man" in English. Therefore 역시 개보록맨 roughly translates "Surely you're freakin' lucky."

There’s no drama. Most Korean progamers are actually pretty close because of the sheer amount of interaction they have with each other (unofficial scrims, sharing builds etc.) That kind of camaraderie is usually reflected in the amount and way in which players chat in-game. Just like lowko said, chatting in official matches is illegal, which is why pros take every opportunity to chat and talk “trash” to each other whenever they can. It’s just like when two friends play together and talk “trash” in chat: no harm, no foul

Hey Loko! I just wanna let you know that the Kespa chat rule came because of Boxer's 'tactical' use of the chat. He implied his opponents on what unit he is composing and totally bamboozled him. Hence the rule came out. There were a lot of bizzare strategies back in SC1 that messed around the system. Like 'ally mine' where you tick the ally status of your opponent so your mines won't react to your enemy. And then turn it back off once all your enemy's forces are on top of the mine and hence, triggering it.

why do people dislike this? its good content and excellent pro play. the quality of your videos is very well done. i love the commentary. also i dont think that everyone else of better i just think innovation got lazy. he started cheesing people. he got used to the cheese and then tried going back to what he was normally doing. you cant do that. he needs to get back to his roots and get to where he was with practice.

I don't understand how Protoss is playable. Like a Phoenix costs 250, an Oracle 300, an Immortal nearly double a siege tank. And yet their units aren't even very strong?

units aren't very strong? immortals can decimate a terrain heavy mech play style as well as a heavy roach/lurker push.. as well as decimate your structures and bases super fast. Phoenix isn't meant to really do damage but its an amazing scouting harrasing tool. oracle is amazing at scouting and tagging where your army is. protoss play style requires good unit synergy to get the best out of the units. try pushing against an immortal/archon/charge lot army and tell me protoss aren't strong

Trap keeps talking rather rudely to Innovation (in terms of Korean etiquette of being polite to one who is older). Innovation then says when will you come to your senses (not in the sense trap is crazy) but Trap is being a fool. A parent might say it to their child who is wasting their life away. Then Trap says he will come to his senses when Innovation does. And Innovation says you're not allowed to all chat in game. First Game stuff

Lowko, your videos are the absolute best sc2 content out there! Work on your "T" pronunciation. You use whats called a "voiced alveolar stop", what you want is whats called a "voiceless /th/ digraph" which is an interdental fricative. Its the difference between saying "Father" and "Fadder". Just some friendly advice to strengthen your casting abilities!

They prefer using it as a barricade for their opponent. It gets useless once you are done with upgrades or when you are not yet planning to do upgrades and just building it for tech trees. For the case of building it on a random place than the entrance.... I dunno xD

Innovation says something along the lines of "I was partying" (meaning, I assume, having fun), to which Trap replies, essentially, "I was being serious" (I think). Yeah. Korean alphabet is basically what happened when written language was brought over, and the dude in charge was like "This makes no sense. Why does b and d look the same, when they don't use the same mouth movements", or something to that effect.

It's actually a bit worse, since they were originally using Chinese letters, and those are pictographic. We're talking over 6000 commonly used letters, and tens of thousands lesser used ones. Worse yet, they were trying to use them as if they were phonetic, especially for names of people and places. The emperor at the time took one look at it, said "That's dumb af", and swapped the entire thing for a purely phonetic alphabet.

I believe it's just that scouting and making units are bettter, unless you really need detection, although shield batteries saves you from all-ins and forces the enemy to commit harass with more units to actually 1 shot the probes.
