Would you do the grid so fine again? Did you do something similar with your Jackpot too? :)
@design8studio
@design8studio 3 ай бұрын
@@zemlejna1 yes, I probably would do 1” grid again or maybe metric 25mm. Ever since I redid my table by creating a new torsion box from a parametric fusion 360 file I have been meaning to add my laser module to my Lowrider, which is now powered by a Jackpot, and then burn a grid into my table. So far I have not gotten around to doing that. I have so much going on.

Mounting a laser on the low rider would work really great for marking out your grid.
@design8studio
@design8studio 2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. That's a great solution. If I had a NEJE (or other) laser set up for attaching here, it would be a great way to do this.

I may have just figured out why my initial offset in Eeprom was not happening after homing (before I redid my offset in the video). I may have initially set that offset in my firmware before swapping my X and Y axes. If so, the offset was set to affect Y axis, which is now X. So even if the original offset survived firmware updates, it would have been happening on the wrong axis!

Hi could you please make a video about the table that you made for LR3 ?

Hey, I may be able to, but in the mean time, there is a V1E forum thread that covers it! forum.v1engineering.com/t/doug-joseph-design8studio-full-sheet-lowrider-2-build-on-a-budget/29568/

Hi Dough, Nicely tft firmware. I would like to have something similar. Could you show me some of your firmware you used? 😊

I had ordered a full LowRider CNC kit from Ryan at the V1 Engineering online shop, including an SKR Pro1.2 control board with TMC2209 drivers, and a TFT35 E3 V3 touchscreen. Whenever a board or TFT is ordered from Ryan as part of a kit, he pre-flashes it with the right firmware for the kit. While I have made very minor tweaks in firmware edits, my firmware is still essentially what was from Ryan. All the firmwares for V1 Engineering projects are available for download. Check out the site at v1e.com - There are full docs with links. The plans for the V1 Engineering projects are free.

@@design8studio Thanks for this reply. I think I already got this firmware, but somehow mine looks very different with yours. I am going to ask Ryan to. You guys helped me a lot with everything I could find and needed for my build so far! Thanks for that Dough! (Y)

If the difference seems to be only in the appearance of the buttons in the touchscreen side of the GUI, then take note that it's easy to update the graphics used for the buttons and appearance. There was an added set in what I got (and sent you) that facilitates that. Below I will copy and paste what I typed for someone else a few months back about it.

Design8Studio Doug Joseph 4 months ago I ordered my TFT from Ryan at V1E, and it cam pre-flashed, however, I think I'm running a TFT firmware I downloaded separately from the V1E site. I checked last night, and while I am thinking I got it from V1E site, it apparently included an original Marlin 2 source set, plus a special separate zip named "BlomsD-MPCNC-TFT35-V2.0-master" (dated 2020-06-06) containing minimal files to get to the "unified" button theme that includes the custom "router cutting" image that replaces the "3D print" image for the button to start a cut, and a custom "laser" button for setting laser power etc. If you check the V1E site and don't get what you're after, let me know.

Can you set this to go faster??
@design8studio
@design8studio Жыл бұрын
Yes, the speed at which it draws is controllable, in my case by editing the tool's speed in the ESTLcam software. Since I only did it once, and it's already done, I have no need to bother with it now. But it can be speeded up.
