This is one area Kentucky is actually way ahead. They outlawed us in the late 80s. Big brother. Us gearheads across the different car styles need to stick together. I congratulate you on the win. When stationed in CA I enjoyed the cruises. Made me miss the ones in KY. Went to Graffiti night in Modesto. ❤

I wasn't a lowrider, but I have very fond memories of cruising my '63 Ford, 390 CID, 4 speed on the floor muscle car on E st in San Berdoo, CA on the weekends during my high school days in the mid '60's. Ahhh... , those were the days, glory days and nights. The days before the rise in 'no cruising' laws.

I lived in San Bernardino from 1998 - 2006 after I got out of the Army, and my dad grew up there in the 40s and 50s. My uncle still lives there too. He and I often show our cars at the Route 66 Rendezvous there. He has a 69 Pontiac Bonneville, 62 "JFK" Lincoln Continental and 75 Ford Ranchero. I have a 72 Ford Mustang Grande (originally my mom's car), 65 Ford Thunderbird, 65 Imperial, and 73 Cadillac Sedan DeVille. The Cadillac was sold to me in 1996 by my Uncle Caesar "Bud" Wackeen from his Ronald Moran Cadillac dealership, of 1974 HB Toby Halici "Gone In 60 Seconds" fame, which he starred in as himself. He's the man talking on the phone with the secretary during the Cadillac dealership destruction scene. I have other cars that I'm modifying also, mostly from the 80s and 90s, but also other older classics as well.

Here's my sad car-story:😓 It was bitter-sweet to click on this video & with great sadness that I bought this special Caddy below for my dying mother & my despicable Fl. condo-board of "Old G' NY Gangsters" towed & stole it before I could take my dying Mom for a ride to give her healing hope for a cruise in it down Ocean Blvd. in Ft. Lauderdale....... In fact, they stole/towed all 3 of my Caddy's during the height of Covid & one that was also my grandmothers. Police say its a civil matter & they were not insured. Too ill to fight the last good fight & my Mom & I paid our dues to my ungrateful cowardly neighbors. All on the court records of Broward County & Fed courts of the southern district in an unbelievable cold war saga. Why? Cause they didn't like me questioning their improprieties & embezzleing of condo funds & they also beat a Fed. RICO investigation into fraud I triggered that was a sham investigation. (Now that's a story I'd love to tell Natalie for an expose' of widespread condo corruption in S. Flor'Dah.) A different kind of racial discrimination & annihilation. The real gangsters get on condo boards & steal from "The Hood" & their own neighbors in luxury ocean front condos. Collaboration of White Collar Crime & Lucchese/Gambino operations in S. Florida! Very common way of the Hi-Life in So. Flo. condo living, & most owners are apathetic & submissive to get involved to put a stop to it & just move & pass the hot potato to fresh blood. Below is the car in the video of the Caddy I bought for Mom that I found on-line from someone posted an old video of this beautiful Caddy on display at this museum before they finally sold it to me after years of phone calls pestering them. The only recorded memory I have of it, & sadness & fury it brings that my Mom never got to even see it as I cared for her 24/7, & those animals killed both of us slowly. Too weak to fight. It was Mom & Me against the World..... & now its just Me Against the World. This beautiful Caddy was owned & personal car of the famous car-collector: Don Williams of Auto Collection in Vegas a.k.a Blackhawk Collection. I'd be surprised if they can make it more than a month or two before someone is killed at one of these events or just groups of people riding down the street simple fact is the old school lowrider crew are cool they're old men but that's not who the majority of the crew riding around in the lowriders are in California nowadays! I agree there artwork but you also don't see them taking the Mona Lisa down the road. These are not fuel efficient vehicles when they're driving they generally drive even slower than the speed limit and traffic. When they're in groups they cause traffic. Not to mention as you just saw in the video they make unsafe decisions on the road riding on three wheels bouncing up and down. So again California doesn't actually care about people they care about making sure there is more pain in harm coming to the people that live there! These were blocked for a reason I didn't had everything to do with crime! So when you bring them back don't be surprised when the crime comes with it!

These guys are the best …. Anti cruising law ???? I saw tourists flocking to the sidewalks to film these guys and their cars. Music pumping people dancing gangs alongside proud and peaceful. Anything that brings a community together like that and attracts tourists should get approval, priority even funding .
