Hey mate! I’ve replaced the drop arm on my defender but the bolt on the new ball joint has snapped while I was driving! Any ideas what I did wrong?

Maybe you have overtighting, to much torque on wrench, or is problem in the material construction.

YOU DID NOT CHANGE THE UPPER PART

Noup, i didn't because the upper part was is in very good condition. And one important hint ...don't use agresive grease with rubber sleeve. Sorry for the late answer.
