Thank you so much mate. Life saver! Spent a tenner on fixing one at a shop and still ended up a bit too big and I was thinking of ways to let my mum know that I’d have to use an other tenner 😅 But this was so simple yet effective and had it done in a matter of minutes. Thanks mate 💪

This was an outstanding video. I just can't believe all the bitching and moaning and corrections. I watch tons of video on youtube and by comparison, this one is the gold standard. Thank you for being very articulate, explaining what needs to be explained without over-explaining, offering options and having an extremely clear picture and audio.

Thanks guy, just watched your video and took a couple notches off my watch and it fits perfectly! I did this without the wood and just had my husband hold the sides while I hammered lol made a couple tiny dents in the table but overall worked well. Thanks again!

thank god there is KZbin. I don't know how much I would have paid Victorinox to get something like that done, but I have finally done it as you showed. The only problem I had was putting the pin back (because I am stupid and kept putting it back in the wrong end). Now it fits me perfectly and I didn't spend a single dime
@zzddzzzz4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I ended up using a sweater, small husky ratchet for hammer, my woman's earring, and a pocket knife (for the first one). After that, I actually used to existing pins (hammered in mid-air), and one whack with the wrench and bam! I was on a roll. Thanks for the vid. Had to use the sweater because it was 1am!

This was perfect! I watched one other video first and didn't feel like I learned what I wanted. Saw your video and it was like you were speaking directly to my brain. I understood and grasped the concept immediately! I didn't even need to finish watching the whole thing. As a matter of fact, by the time the video had finished playing, I had already taken the link out and put it back together! Finally!!! My watch fits correctly! Thank you, thank you, thank you! (The reason I hadn't taken it in to some place was due to my getting the watch just as the USA was going in to Coronatine aka quarantine for COVID19)

im trying to do this but i cant seem to push the pins through they are really stiff what can i do?
@65revenge8 жыл бұрын
There should be holes on both sides of the link.....if you can't get the pin out by using one hole, use the hole in the other side of the link. These pins are not just a smooth piece of metal.....one end has a bit of a flare to it, so when linking back up be sure the flared end goes into hole first. This takes patience, but it's worth the effort....what's worse than a watch that flops around on your wrist!

When removing links do you want to do one on each side? So say I remove two links would it be better to remove one from each side or both from one side?
@LRN2DIY2 жыл бұрын
That totally depends on the watch. If most of the "extra" links are on one side it may be best to take all links from that side. Just take a look and see what you think will center things best for your watch.
