hahaha! YES bro! The truth about VTEC right there, considering I had the Integra GSR with the proper VTEC I knew all about the mustangs trying to street race me. For a stock 2000 GSR with only intake, header and exhaust it was competitive with a stock mustang GT at the time too.

Hey bro! Happy Sunday Nitro Morning to ya!!! I still got hearing loss and hungry from the last night's birthday stream at Medieval times! They legit served me undercooked and wet chicken! Anyway, VTEC is Variabe valve Timing a Lift Control, after about 5,500 RPM the engine uses a different CAM profile which results in about 30ish more HP. It's the same system which was used in the ACURA NSX and derived from F-1 Racing.

But when driving under 5,500 RPM the engine runs economically and smoother.

I was the owner of the .25 engine version. My break in protocol lasted 4 weeks. The engine kept the more than less desirable compression. It took a lot of patience, but the payoff was worth the time.

Hey man! I also prefer a longer gradual break-in, im with you on that! I normally do about 8 heat cycles of 1/2 a tank each, then about 2 tanks at average unto 50% throttle runs. Anything to protect the nitros!!

You are very alive in your videos and this makes the videos even better. LRP i have read years before, that closed as a company, i don't know something else. Maybe it had some relationship with another rc company before close completely but i don't remember exactly what happened.

Engineer stopper butt plug is a great idea but yes you are right it forces all gas into the tank which floods the engine. Toothbrush on the flywheel or blocking air or fuel is much better.

Brother, 23 years ago we would take 4 head colored zipties and put them through the head bolt holes and tighten them around the top of the head so when you roll it, slides on the ziptie instead of the head. If you wTch my video where I mentioned the rc cars I show a Os engine with the zipties so you can see what I mean. I havnt seen anyone do this lately. I am pulling my old rcs out. Kids are gone and it's time to play. I have a Sportwerks Mayhem 1/8 buggy and a old Bandit and a Mayhem I was converting to brushless and a Tamiya van bodied car.

I had this buggy with the stock engine. 34.000>RPM. I sold it for €225 without any defects. Solid buggy! Also my first transmitter with end points for gas, brake AND steering. LRP rocks! I still own the Rebel XT nitro Truggy. No defects whatsoever.

Hey my dude! Happy to have you here on the channel! I'd recommend trying a replica traxxas carb for like 20 bucks on the cheap. I've done vids on the replica carbs and they are better than stock in terms of tune. The most important thing is, does your engine have good enough compression? If it does, then you should get the carb replaced (it's almost always a bad carb issue). Let me know and we can follow up on this.

You sir are barrel of laughs a second . NITRO ? not for me . The best quality 8th scale RTR buggy for my money and in my eyes is my brushless HoBao Hyper VS2 150 amp version , no matter what anyone else says . The whole chassis construction quality at it's price point is second to none in my eyes for a RTR no matter all other RTR brands there is are out there , and i have looked at all 8th scale RTR buggies available online 🤔 .

yup! BLUE!! That is the Slogan of the LRP brand, "blue is better". Thats why most of their other nitro engines have blue cooling heads. Funny thing is, I dont see any BLUE on this model, lol.

Do disrespect ment but I beleive LRP sold out to china for engine. Thats why its cheaper and grey. Probably like the Serpent buggy its a force engine not a Novarossi. Force engines are good though. But I would slap it with a Blue LRP .28 engine and a Reds One pipe.

Yup! With that tune ur correct!! The modern Mustang is pretty quick, even with a stock regular eco-boost. Back in the day when I was running the Integra, you understand I was up against the very low horsepower V8, in which case the Integra pretty much did compete with them fairly well.
