One of the 2,500 ladies here. I commented on your last video in regards to your steering pump. It would be a good idea to flush out the system really well and maybe even install an in-line filter to catch whatever contamination caught in your rack from the failure of the last pump. That can cause premature wear of the next pump you install and the rack. Taylor Ray found that out the hard way, before he deleted his power steering.

Yo ruddy, put atf type F in your power steering pump... it has an anti foaming agent and it should stop the pump from whining

If the pump is whining and the fluid is foaming then he has other issues that need to be resolved. Using a different fluid is a band-aid fix at best. Type F ATF IS NOT the correct fluid for a GM pump and rack.

@@madmatt2024 I agree. Just from the color and foam looks like it's drawing air into the system somehow. Do a little troubleshooting before you keep throwing pumps at it.

@@TheYagerD The two biggest issues I see is are that both pumps he has used are from vehicles with gearbox style systems, not rack and pinion and he also isn't using any kind of power steering cooler. If it was my truck I would be running the pump, lines, and cooler for a 5.3 Colorado, I just about guarantee that would fix it. Looking up the pump online shows that it only fits the Colorado, Canyon and H3 Hummer so it's special.

Flush the pump out and put some Lucas power steering fluid with conditioner in it and it ill work as new. You have to make sure to get ALL of the old fluid out.

I think the power steering needs a check valve to lower the high pressure. I believe the LS pumps are higher pressure than normal. We had same issue when we swapped a 6.0 into a Malibu and it blew pumps up all the time.

Drain your whole power steering system, you can see the fluid is milky, there was water left in the pump when you filled it which means the fluid is thinner so that could make the pump whine. But anyways, power steering pumps are the kind of things you should get brand new.

You got the right idea those hose ends can always be brazed on the fittings and then braided hose can be put on to any length you would like done it in the past probably do it again in the future depending on the build

In the car the white angle Lens is way better. However under the hood or showing the car itself, well then it causes a bit more of that fisheye lens curve. So showing anything technical wise underneath or underneath the hood, well in that case the older GoPro lens is better. It’s able to zoom in to details better and re-able to see things better.

I'm not sure how the parking lights are held in on the Colorados, but the cheap eBay/Amazon parking lights for '03-'07 Silverados have the same issue with popping out, they're easy to fix though, you just have the heat and spread the tab out wider so it clicks in more secure.
