Nice work! Could you please give a itemize list of which parts you ordered from the link you provided.

I ordered the brackets and the conversion hubs only. The rest of the parts were bought locally new or from a junk yard.

Maybe I missed it, where did you get the conversion bracket? Obviously the rest is OEM sourced parts. Seems like the perfect "in-between" brake upgrade idea. Thanks.

I got it from Big Brake upgrades. you will have to modify the spindle.

At 1:18 you mention "proportioning valve spring" did this fix the BRAKE light "on" on the dash? I did this rear disc swap on my 83, and it stops fantastic, major improvement however, now the light is on all the time, thoughts? Thanks.
@eddiesspeedgarage4 жыл бұрын
Dave Barron I’m pretty sure the light only lets you know if the brake is on or low fluid. The spring helps to increase line pressure.

Iroc only had 16 in rims
@mixmasterhowie6783 жыл бұрын
Great project Eddie. Thanks for the video. BTW I have seen an IROC-Z with the 15 inch wheel. I see that thirdgen.org has the following tech for 1988: "The 16 inch wheels that had been standard equipment on the '88 Camaro IROC were restyled and now became an extra cost option for the IROC. The standard IROC wheel was the old 15×7 inch aluminum 5 spoke Z28 wheel and this wheel was also now standard on the Chevrolet Camaro Sport Coupe. In 1988 only, this wheel rather than having only the recessed areas painted gold or silver, was completely painted gold or silver (for that `double-dunked' in paint look)." So the 15x7 5 spoke wheel may be a tight fit with the big rotors?
