Great review. I have had my MT-125 for about a year and the first thing I found wrong with it is the trans fan. I was clearing some overgrowth with my root grapple and I hear the sound no one wants to hear with a new tractor, something that sounds like it's coming apart. I back up and get off and see the plastic fins laying around and after looking underneath I see it was the fan. I don't know why but it's not covered to protect it especially being made of plastic and where it's located. Now don't get me wrong because I love my little tractor and it does a great job. The only thing I would change is how top heavy it is. I live on a hill and my property is a hill with a couple of flat spots (lol). This tractor is great and thanks for the video.

I like it the small tractors it is just the right size for doing what you need it for There has to be a simple solution for the tires losing air a lot of good sealer liquids you could put in them or re seal the beads with bead seal if that is the problem
@oldchevy4x4
@oldchevy4x4 2 жыл бұрын
I've said from the beginning I wanted to load the tires, but I haven't done it. I just check the air every so often and I'm on my way. I have read some success stories that used liquid sealers but I haven't tried any.

I have the same tractor. Only issue I had was a leaky piston on of the arms but warranty covered. Now service was telling that the tractors that were.losing the air out of the front tires were all industrial tires. I have turf tires on mine with no issues so far and I'll have 3 years in June.
@oldchevy4x4
@oldchevy4x4 Жыл бұрын
I'll be at 3 years in May, *knock on wood* I have had no issues at all besides the front tires slowly leaking down. That isn't a big enough problem for me to really worry about... I've told myself I was going to put tubes in them but so far I just put a little air in every so often. Thanks for checking this out and commenting!

@OldChevy4x4 no problem at all. There to many videos about the 125 compared to the other brands so ever little bit helps. I think the ne t attachment I'd get is a bush hog. You said you have a 4 foot and a 5 foot. Would you recommend one over the other operating wise. I know weight wise the 5 foot is heavier but just your thoughts on that regards.
@oldchevy4x4
@oldchevy4x4 Жыл бұрын
@Mark McEeachern Speaking for torque and hydraulic power the 125 doesn't struggle with a 5ft. I ran it the first year we were here in stuff higher than the hood, but on side hills when the cutter swings side-to-side you really feel it. If my land was flat I wouldn't have went looking for a 4ft cutter, but with hills the stability is worth the smaller cut.

The property we had at time of purchase required a sub compact. If I were to buy another where I live now it would definitely be a larger tractor. I am still very satisfied with my 125 and plan on keeping it for a long time, but there's been times where a larger/ heavier machine would have been nice.
