Tony, I enjoyed this video! Thanks for the trick with filling the oil filter. On my Case 430, the oil filter contains half a quart, out of 5 quarts total to put into the engine. I wish I knew this trick before! This LS is a very nice machine! Well designed too!

Thanks for the video. If you have any cardboard put that down, a little softer on the body and keeps leaks off your floor. I had a Chevy that had the filter way in the back over the exhaust pipe and it was a bear to on and off.

It would be cool if you had one video that gives a quick tutorial on changing OIl filter, finding drain plug, the amount of oil, front axle oil change and where the dipstick is, how the hydraulic fluid has one tank and a pump, changing hydraulic filter and hst filter, etc. Just a quick reference guide for the basics to help users find their parts, erc.. Your other videos would be for those of us who need more guidance while the quick tutorial would be more for reminders and quick reference. Thanks

HI there, doing a little research on this model before I purchase it. By the way, that is the most popular oil filter sold in the USA the last 20 plus or more, fits 99 % of every honda, acura, nissan, mazda ,infinity kia some fords Chryslers an on and on,

It is a good little tractor. I ended up selling it and getting a bigger TYM T25. Just a bit bigger with a lot more bang for the buck.

Thanks for the video Tony, I have been waiting for this series. Just curious why you used the valve cover filler instead of that nice big one on the left side of the engine by the fuel pump? Also thanks for confirming the exact fill - just short of a gallon. Just a comment on the oil filter replacement part, I smiled when you reminded everyone to check the filter gasket and make sure it's gone. Well............ everyone gets in a rush and forgets to look at that only once! The one time and this was over 40 years ago I didn't look for that and slapped that filter right back up there and I had four quarts of oil on the ground so fast when I restarted the engine. I would NEVER do that again. But it's a lesson learned and pointing it out to someone that hasn't there is helpful. Thanks again..

Another Great video Tony! Just so you know .8 gallons = 3.2 quarts. Maybe LS Tractor specs don't account for the oil filter?

service bulletin replaces this drain plug with Allen wrench style plug. check with your dealer

Don't have the tractor anymore. I just purchased a TYM Tractors T264. Almost the same footprint with more capacity.

Drain plug is so far forward because the engine sits backwards compared to other tractor brands.

Kubota, Massey Ferguson, LS all have engines backwards.

My eyes aren't deceiving me...but I have never seen an engine that appears installed backwards, with an exposed flywheel facing forward. Interesting.

Funny. When I first saw you pull the grass screen out in front of the radiator I had to do a double take. I never saw a tractor with the engine backwards.

Overkill maintenance is good? Haha. Till your over greasing an blowing out seals an boots etc.

You can't over grease these bearings unless a person gets stupid with a power great gun. They have a weep hole. I might have learned that the hard way in my youth. 😁 Popped a seal out like stepping on a toothpaste tube. 👍
